Towels, tickets to parks while at a DVC resort

I'm probably going to be renting points from a DVC member for a studio room at BWV in Jan for 7 nights.

I have a couple of questions.

I understand that we won't get daily maid service.

How many towels are in the room? With showering and swimming 4 people can go thru alot of towels. I understand that there is a laundry room, but don't relish the idea of doing laundry everyday. What do you do?

Can we buy park tickets when we check in and have them work with our room key? Does it make since to buy them when you check in? I know you can get a discount by going thru a dealer like Mapleleaf....what do you do?

Thanks for your help. I've very excited to be able to get a very nice room for not much more (maybe 10 or 15%) then a value resort. :dance3:

Thanks again!

You will get 4 towels in a studio plus a couple of hand towels and washcloths. We stayed in a studio in June and convinced the children that they had to hang their towel up when they were done using it. I figure that I don't wash towels every day at home, so I wasn't going to worry about it on vacation. :laundy: There are pool towels at the pool, which helps a lot.
I believe you can buy your tickets when you check in and add them to your key, but I have no experience with that being an AP. I'm sure someone else will give you more info on that :)

you should get trash removed and towels replaced on day 4.

definitely use the pool towels at the pool.

if you need more towels than that, you might need to bring them, or you could pay extra to have more brought to the room.

i would recommend using maple leaf tickets (others recommend undercover tourist) rather than buying at wdw, unless you are only buying tickets for 1 or 2 days worth of parks...

I know this is a basic question, but what form are the tickets in that you buy from a reseller?

Paper? Plastic Card? One ticket for each day per person? Our last trip we got a package and found it very convenient to use our room keys.

Thanks for the info.

i bought from maple leaf tickets a couple of years ago. they sent me a paper 10-day hopper which, as far as i can tell, is identical to one i might have purchased at the parks...so i assume that they are selling the same media as the parks.

When were you planning on trying to rent? If it's early Jan, you probably are out of luck. With the marathon, most of the BWV and BCV are booked for that time frame.

Jan 26 thru Feb 2 or 3

Still waiting to hear back from the member, so I may be out of luck anyway......which this brings up another question....why does the "Dream Season" start on Feb 1 whereas the hotel rates stay value until a week or two later. I'm sure there is a reason, just wondering.

Thanks
Todd

DVC seasons are not necessarily equal to resort seasons.
