Towels at pools

We're flying down so I kinda want to limit the luggage. Are the towels that you can get at the resort pools worth not bringing our own beach towels? I'm afraid I won't remember where I was sitting since all the towels will look the same.

Why would you want to bring your own towels? The pool towels are fine.
Are you planning on bringing your own towels for your room? And if needing different looking towels to find your way back to where you are sitting is and issue, then you have bigger problems than packing towels.

The towels at the pool are fine and I'm sure you'll remember where you're sitting unless you're at SAB, and that one is a little confusing. I find it depends on your resort too. At value resorts, you have to bring the towels from your room and get housekeeping to replace them. At moderate resorts, there are only towels at the main pool, but not the quiet pool. At delux resorts there are towels at both the main pools and quiet pools. I'm guessing that is still the same and hasn't changed. (I'm sure someone will chime in if this info is different now.)

OP, even after a couple of margaritas I still can manage to find my chair, I'm sure you'll do just fine!

I've always found the pool towels to be perfectly fine. And what I love most about them is being able to toss them into the bin when I'm done using them rather than finding a place to hang them to dry.

I do like bringing our own beach towels. But, I might not bring them this time. OP Thanks for asking, I was curious myself about the towels. I didn't know they were not at the quiet pools at the moderates. (now I do)

Towels are not provided at the Value resorts - you use the towels from your room (but can always request more if needed). Towels are provided at the Moderate and Deluxe resorts at the main feature pools, not at the smaller "quiet pools."

OP--you're not the only one who's wondering about packing beach towels. It's not a matter of not finding my chair, but as you mentioned some towels are very flimsy. Plus, I thought it might serve as a coverup while walking through the hotel lobby.

Actually, just a small correction. Towels ARE available at the quiet pools at the Delux level. We stay at BWV, BCV, OKW and WVL and there are always towels available at these quiet pools. However, there are no towels at quiet pools at moderate resorts.
