Towel Animals?

Is there a special trick to getting the housekeeping staff at a resort to make the special animal or Mickey towels on the beds? Of all the times I've visited the resorts I've only had these made for me on one trip and that was at Port Orleans, never at a value resort. Do they not do them at value resorts? Do I need to leave a tip of a specific amount to get this special treat? I'd really like my son to have that little bit of extra magic when we take him in June.

The only way to guarantee you get them every day is to buy a book on making towels animals at a bookstore and make them yourself. Bring towels, hand towels and face cloths from home to make sure you have everything you need to make them.

Your housekeeper might not have the time or the skills to make them.

We had them several times at CSR but not at all at all star sports.

We have gotten them most often at CSR but have also gotten them at other resorts ranging from value to deluxe.

We got one while staying at All Star Movies in early December one year (our only onsite trip so far). I don't know if there are tricks but we left our room neat and tidy ever day, and left a daily tip under the "your mousekeeper is Rosa" card. Since our room was not a mess, maybe she had some extra time to make our little treat? Who knows.

We have gotten them at both value and moderate resorts. There really isn't a trick to getting them. They are just a magical touch that happens. Also, not all the mousekeeping staff knows how to do them.

There are no tricks or tips to get a towel animal. They are pixie dust and should not be expected in any way.

We were there last week and got three at ASMu. They were never on the bed, they had been tucked into our window.

Not all housekeepers know how to make them - or want to make them.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that they only have a short amount of time (I think it's 15 minutes) to clean each room, and it's pretty strictly enforced. If the housekeeper has to spend all of that time actually cleaning your room, she is not going to have time to sit and make a mickey mouse out of towels for you.

We usually have a tiny one in the window and maybe a Mickey face on the bed .... but almost every trip we have gotten a big one (like below) and sometimes another smaller one. We are all adults but my one son has special needs, functions as a child, so he has a specific list of items to bring and are in the room so it appears there is a child. Once when traveling with family members they were disappointed they did not get a fancy one like us (same building and floor). I told her to go buy a Disney toy and put on the bed plus make sure she leaves a tip. Sure enough the next day she had a big fancy one

This is about 12+ inches tall. It came with everything you see, flowers, flower earrings, bracelets, beads, little purse etc. She was a keeper coming home with me!
