:firefight Don't get me wrong--- this is not a flame inviting statement.... but--- what do you do with the towel animals after you get them?

We have been lucky enough to get them the last few trips, a couple of dogs, an angel, an elephant, and plenty of flowers, ties, bows etc.... we also tipped our mousekeeping well. but we kinda "stock-pile" them on the table until the end of our trip, and take pictures and such.... but does anyone ever use them??? just wondering??? :confused3

Took a picture of them and left them in the room.

Since we've only gotten 2 in 6 trips, it wasn't a big deal for us.

Took pictures of some we got at the Beach Club -- mousekeeper Carmen was incredibly talented. We didn't have the heart to rip them apart to use them (towel animal "murder"?). We did arrange them on our table and left notes for Carmen to thank her for the special "gifts." We started with a small duck and ended up with a big Mickey logo on the floor our last night.

At other stays, we got some toothbrush holders, but not much else.

I would just leave them as is on the table or nightstand, whichever, for the duration of our stay. That is unless we needed a towel and there were none others to choose from, then I would unravel it and use it as a towel. That's about it.

we used them to decorate our window (value and mod resorts)... also used the toothbrush holder fancy washcloth to, well, ummm, hold our toothbrushes! LOL! i think the kids may have smuggled one home, but basically we just enjoyed them while we were there... :flower:

Ask your resort. We've gotten answers here on both sides of the fence where they were told to take them AND leave them.

We were told to leave them, so we took pictures.

I was told by mousekeepers and front desk CM to keep them from WL...so I did. Now I feel very guilty, because I get the distinct impression that I wasn't supposed to. I'm thinking of bringing them back with me on my next trip...

Next time, I'll just be taking pictures. :guilty:

Don't feel bad, we did the same thing on our last trip. ALso stayed at WL. Only got two and they were small, a duck and not sure what the other one was. I have them up in my upstairs bathroom.

On this last trip we were blessed with several towel animals. My DD was begging me to take them home, and I truly didn't know the policy, so I told her to ask the housekeeping staff if she could take her favorite home. They said "of course!" I'm not recommending this.... just sharing my experience. :goodvibes

We only had towel animals once in our four trips. We took pictures and left them behind.

We asked at WL and were told to take them home with us!!! The kids have them in their rooms...ahhhh....the memories!

Why would you feel bad if that's what your resort told you to do? :confused3

If AKL had told us to keep them, I would have put them in the suitcases and not given it a second thought.

We stayed at the CBR last december, every day we would have some cute towels animals, on our last night, the mousekeeper left a big clown with stickers and hearts along w/a note to my dd's telling them to keep the animals.

We have never gotten towel animals (we've got our fingers crossed for our trip this fall), but we had pillow "forts" built for DDs animals to play in. It was very cute, and DD was surprised- we came back to POFQ at night to see her "babies" playing hide-n-seek in the forts.

Got one every day on our last trip to WL. We had quite a menagerie going after 7 days. Looked at em for a week then left them. Sure, we're Disney diehards, but I'm not bringing bath-towl-oragami home.

we brought them home....

and there were a few mousekeeping ladies in the lobby at CBR making towel animals for kids while we were checking in....- they were handing them to kids - after I saw that I didn't feel bad about taking our two....:)
