Me & my wife are going to Disney Aug. 13-16 for our anniversary (no kids!!!). Does anyone recommend any of the tours (i.e. Keys to the Kingdom), or should we just skip?

FYI...we have never done any of the tours in the past!

Thanks!!!!

I did the Segway tour at Epcot. It was awesome! A great way to see the sights in a new and different way!

If you're Scuba certified, the DiveQuest tour was a lot of fun. Besides the backstage tour about how they manage the Living Seas aquarium, you also get to be a "Guest Star" and dive in the tank in front of all of the guests.

I hope you have a wonderful anniversary whatever you choose to do.

I've done the Keys to the Kingdom tour, twice. (years apart) and thought it was fantastic! Although it does take up quite a chunk of the day so if this is your first visit or two to Disney or only staying for 4 days or less I don't know that you'd want to designate most of the day to the tour.

It was great & do highly recommend it. You can check to see if they offer any discounts if you have AAA or a disney Visa.

It all depends on your interest and timing.
The Keys to the Kingdom Tour is a great tour! I have taken it multiple times. It is different each time depending on the guide you get.
If this is your first trip - don't do any tours! They really can take up a chunk of your day and it would be better to just explore the parks on your own.

I also like the Future World Tour at Epcot - lots of good background info on that park.

Definately check for Disney Visa or AP discounts!

Have Fun!!!:cool1:

I second the vote for the Epcot Segway tour. It only takes a few hours, you get to see the park empty, you learn a little something about each of the lands and it is so much fun!

My wife and I are booked for the Divequest tour and are in fact celebrating our own Anniversary. We are both certified and this will be our first real dive with big fish so we are definitley excited. You may like this tour as it includes a t-shirt and the option to purchase a DVD of your tour. Great way to make a memory.

From my last Seas tour (the snorkel) they don't do shirts any more. I have done all 3 of the tours and all were a blast! But I must say the Dive was the best dive I have ever done, and I lived on Bonaire for 3 years! It's a must!

I've done the Epcot Segway, Fort Wilderness Segway, Keys to the Kingdom, and Magic Behind Our Steam Trains. All were great, but my favorites so far were the Keys and Fort Wilderness tours.

We did the Backstage Magic tour several years ago and really enjoyed it. It's a longer tour of all parks except AK. Included lunch and did NOT require a park ticket so we saw that as a savings. We just planned an easy evening outside the parks that night since we were tired from the tour anyway. Loved it! Plan to take it again someday.
Also just took the Backstage Safari Tour at AK in March and found it really interesting. Saw the new baby rhino!!!

They actually did away with the t-shirts this year. It's now a little single pocket type bag with the DiveQuest logo on it. I just did this a little over a month ago. It was still fun (I went for the dive, not the t-shirt. shhhh! :lmao:)
They did have a few left in old stock but those were XL and XXL sizes.

Ive enjoyed the few tours I have done: Keys to the Kingdom, Backstage Magic, Yuletide tour (Christmas time) and the Epcot Segway tour. Loved the Segway! Looking forward to some over at the AK and the steam engine one.

We wanted to do Keys to the Magic Kingdom on our second trip in Oct 09, but they were completely booked! We decided on it 2 months in advanced and never were able to get tickets :( So if you decide to do one, get reservations NOW! I'm very jealous!

we loved the epcot segway tour, really enjoyed KTTK, and were very disappointed in dolphins in depth. DID is basically an ecology lesson, with very few minutes with the dolphins....pretty much just enough time for a picture - we spent much more time putting on and taking off the wetsuits than in the water :guilty:
