Tours, which have you done and would recommend?

Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers - or used to - a "Taste of Africa" early morning tour with breakfast at Boma, a talk with one of their African interns, and a tour of some of the animal buildings. We met a couple of okapi up close and personal, fed a giraffe (and learned about the "giraffe zone" - literally they zone out) and packed some toys for the pigs, plus got a tour of the AKL savanna which we thought was much better than the moonlight safari we also took the same day. The tour is pricey but well worth it if you're an animal lover! You also get (included) the photos your guides take of you with the animals.
Also, we agree the early morning trains tour was awesome. One thing not yet mentioned was that the train barn also serves as a servicing bay for the monorails, so you may see one of those close-up too.

I did Destinations in Epcot which tells you about each country in the world showcase. The best part was over an hour in the festival kitchen seeing how they prepare and store food and wine. That part may only be during a festival.i went in october. We were backstage a couple times and had a snack in Germany. I enjoyed it very much. There is a similar one in the Future World area too.

I went on the Behind The Seeds tour about a year ago. It was a lot of fun. I got to hold a 30 lb melon and feed tilapia.

I loved the Savor the Savanna tour. We got up close with the giraffes which I loved.

I can't say enough great things about Up Close with Rhinos. $40 per person and all the money goes to Rhino conservation. Unfortunately, it's a very popular (and small) tour, so getting tickets this close to Christmas might be impossible.
I second Up Close with Rhinos. Did the tour last month.

Nothing earth shattering or something I would do a second time would be to experience a trip in the Amphibacars at Disney Springs. It was interesting and something different to experience at Disney. At the time of my trip, Paddlefish was still under construction and got a close up water view of it. They took photos of your trip and add to photo pass if you have that purchased for your trip or you can purchase separately.

My experience with tours is now three years old but every tour had some component that was worth the price of the tour. Backstage Magic has changed since 2012 and 2016 with changes to park and the lack of parades. I wonder if Future World tour is even offered with the current construction happening now. Destinations will have changed since 2016 with the closing of Illuminations. At that time part of the tour was to go back stage to see the globe and barges. Marceline is worth it to go under the Haunted Mansion ride as it operates. Enjoy the tour of your choice.

Starlight Safari at Kidani Village, Animal Kingdom Lodge was WONDERFUL! There were spots for 10-12 on the safari truck, and there are two time slots (8:30PM-10:00PM) We did this 3 weeks ago and loved it. It is for ages 8+ and about $75 per person for the hour long tour. We had dinner at Sana'a beforehand, and their desk is where you sign in for the safari. We initially bought our tickets about 5 months ahead of time. 5.5 months ahead they were fully booked, but two spaces opened. Oh, yeah - each participant has night vision viewers.

We have done Behind the Seeds twice - if you like plants, biology, gardening and/or science, it's a really nice tour. And the price is affordable.
