Tours...please help!

Glad you liked it! We are contemplating doing a no park trip in September and thought this tour would be great to do instead since we might not have park tickets. We loved the KTTK tour and wanting to do another backstage tour.

A lot of the tours do require separate park admission in addition to the cost of the tour, so you'd still have to have a park ticket for your tour day.

Surprisingly, this is the one rare occasions that you don't need separate park admission.

From Disney's website:

Wild Africa Trek
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Africa
Valid Park Admission Required

Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour
Magic Kingdom Park
Main Street, U.S.A.
Valid Park Admission Required

Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour
Magic Kingdom Park
Main Street, U.S.A.
Valid Park Admission Required

The only one I've seen that doesn't require park admission is Backstage Magic.

While most people will say Keys to the Kingdom, we actually found of the tours we have done, that one showed the least behind the scenes.
I felt unDiscovered Future World showed less. And there used to be one at Animal Kingdom with no backstage access. The day I went, it was my own private tour!
Youngest will be 16 and oldest will be 18 ... no longer a teen I suppose  Thank you everyone for suggestions. Some of you have brought up tours that I didn’t even consider!
Teen until that suffix is no longer in their age

Don't forget the discounts....AP, DVC and Disney Visa, all 15%. Not for the Wild Africa tour though.

I guess it all depends on the guide and what they can and can't access when you are there. On our KttK we spent maybe 45 minutes of the tour backstage and the other 4+ hours were onstage, walking or sitting in a quiet spot and talking. UFW we were only onstage when we crossed FW and basically the whole tour was backstage (the group also consisted of just me, DW and a couple that was friends with our guide, so maybe that had something to do with it). Backstage Safari was also backstage 90% of the time.

Took my son last year when he was 13 on the Marchline to MK tour. He loved the upclose discussion on the workings of the Haunted Mansion. We got to go under the mansion and see how they create the ballroom scene.

It also included a guided tour of the carousel of progress. One of my son’s favorite rides. He enjoyed hearing all the backstories.

Definitely ask your teens for input in selecting the right tour.

Seriously? Okay, the Marceline tour is now on my bucket list. I love CoP!!!!!

That was the highlight of the tour for my son.

The group gets a private theatre. Everyone has a headset, as the show begins, the tour guide gives a backstory for each scene. If you are a fan of the attraction, then it's a must do.

The tour ends at 11am at the CoP. Make a FP for Buzz since your right there.
