I did a search but didn't find the answers I was hoping for. I have some questions and I know you'll have the answers.

We're going during Halloween Time and have 4 days (5 if you include our arrival afternoon on the Sunday).

I've gone to the DLR site and seen the prices for the California Adventure Tour and Happy Haunts. The prices only say "Adults" so does this mean kids are free?

There's no price for Walking in Walt's Footsteps. Does this mean "if you have to ask you can't afford it"?

I'd like to do at least ONE of these tours, and maybe 2 if I can swing it, depending on cost.

Suggestions please?

Following - I'd also like to hear recommendations of whether tours are worth it and if so which ones you suggest.

children get no discounts on tours, they are the same price as adults. the walk in walts footsteps tour is $109, which i think is the same price as the California tour. all tours get a 20% ap discount if you have one.

Wow. Well, with the exchange rate that's something I'll have to see if we have funds (and time) for.

The Happiest Haunts tour is usually around $80 per person. There is a 20% discount for AP holders. There is also Welcome to Disneyland ($25) and Discover the Magic ($59.) And finally, a VIP tour, $355 an hour for 6 hours minimum. This includes up to 10 guests. No discount on this one.

We did Discover the Magic last time and the kids LOVED it. You go on a treasure hunt, you run around with a couple of tour guides searching for your next clue. You get to go to the front of the Pirates of the Caribbean line and I think normally something else, but we were running behind and got fast passes. I got a discount with a Disney Visa, so you might want to sign up for the credit card for the various benefits, and you can always cancel it later.

Ive done the Walk in Walt's Footsteps once, and Happiest Haunts twice (the 2013 tour was different than the 2014 one). Ive enjoyed them immensely. Just being a Disney fan, its fun to see some behind the scenes things, as well as get front of the ride privileges on a few rides. I don't know if its still around, but if it is I want to do the horticulture one next time. My husband says it sounds boring, but then spends half our time wandering through the park wanting to look up the different decorative plants LOL

Walk In Walt's Disneyland Footsteps is a very good tour. DCA tour was just ok (but I was on the very first tour, and I knew most of the information). I believe there's also a discount for Chase Disney Visa holders.

DW and DD did the Happiest Haunts tour and DS and I did the Discover the Magic tour.

We all really enjoyed them and felt they were worth the money.
