Hi:
I looked around the TP website but couldn't seem to find an answer to this. If anyone has used them and gets this please explain. Our trip is not for another 4 months yet when I added it and my days to my dashboard it gives a weather icon(rain, thunderstorms) for each day. What is this based on? They couldn't possibly have an accurate forecast this far in advance could they? I thought it might based on data from last year but it seems so specific to each particular day. Its making me worried b/c they have rain and thunderstorms on both our MK days!
Thanks

Must be some average of historical data.

Four months is around June? The chance of some rain or thunderstorms every day is very high, but it doesn't mean they will wipe out your whole day. They usually come in the afternoon and then taper off, unless it's a larger system moving across Florida.

Thanks. I hope its only a little. Of course our rest day with nothing scheduled seems to be clear. :)

No weather forecast or data 4 months out is going to be accurate, ESPECIALLY in Orlando. Their weather is ridiculously unpredictable. I wouldn't be surprised if the forecast a week ahead is wrong. I definitely wouldn't plan park days around a forecast that is likely to be wrong anyway.

We've been in mid-June. We were there when it was unseasonably hot (97 as opposed to the typical 91 - so more like August than June), and it was still not as bad as everyone says. There was typically a short thunderstorm in the afternoon lasting an hour or less. This is also the hottest part of the day, so afternoon breaks in June are a great idea. Morning and night are the best times to do heavy duty touring. I recommend occasional rope drops and occasional late nights - that's what we do. We try to mix it up.

Even if it says a thunderstorm that day, check the hourly. It may not ruin the whole day.

One day we were there in June there was a storm that lasted a few hours, starting in the afternoon. Just bring (or purchase) some ponchos and you'll be fine. We actually have a fun memory of that - taking shelter in a gift shop in the America pavilion at Epcot.

June essentials: heavy duty insulated water bottles, ponchos, sunscreen, sunglasses
Things you will never need in June: jackets, anything with long sleeves, pants

Even if (ok when, it will rain in June so it's when not if) it rains, you'll have a great time.

Thanks for all the info. We went 8 years ago in early June and I do remember the occasional rain shower. I was just surprised this site had a different weather icon for each day of the trip, it seemed so specific. Oh well, I'm still exploring TP.com so maybe I'll figure it out eventually.
