OK, I have seen this mentioned several times on the boards. If I order the 6.95 plans, is it still necessary in your opinion for me to buy the actual UG book? Also, thinking about getting a passporter if for nothing else but the maps. It will be 2 adults on the trip and we have been to WDW before but has been over 6 years. We have never heard of hidden mickeys, is it worth picking up the book? Any other books we should check out?

We have made ADRs but am getting nervous about the rest now that our trip is in 22 days!

You should definitely pick up the Unofficial Guide. It's by no means perfect, but to really use a touring plan effectively (especially if you need to change things here and there based on your personal preferences, dining, etc), you need to understand how they work. The UG is a good reference to have around anyway, despite the fact that some parts of it need some editing (and I personally really dislike the organization - why they put Universal and the Disney-MGM Studio in the same chapter I'll never understand, since those two parks have very little in common other than the "Studios" name).

The Passporter is optional - I enjoy the book and usually recommend it, but it's quite bulky to carry around the park if you don't have a backpack, and while the maps are great, I much prefer the official ones.

As for the hidden Mickeys, I haven't read the book, but there are also many free resources on where to find hidden Mickeys on the net. But it couldn't be that expensive, so it's probably worth a blind buy.
