Question for the touringplans users out there...they typically recommend going to the park that had EMH the day before, and avoiding the parks that are holding EMH (e.g. on 5/26 they recommend going to Epcot or AK but avoiding MK & MGM). My question is this - would it be a complete waste of time to try to hit the park w/the morning EMH, stay until the crowds get bad, then go to one of the suggested parks? I'm just trying to figure out if the crowd differences will be that big... I don't think I want to drag my family around (DD8 & DD10) like that, but kind of hate missing the morning EMH....

Actually I have been reading a lot of people suggesting just what you are thinking about. The one thing I keep hearing is that you have to be at the park as soon as EMH begins for it to be worth it.

Good luck with your plans. :goodvibes

I think that's the best way to go :thumbsup2 We go to the EMH right at opening then stay until the crowds get too large and hop to another park. Have a plan for what you want to ride and head there first. We did this every day but one for our last trip in mid Feb. and it worked like a charm. We got on everything we wanted with no wait - walking on most everything the first couple hours. We're always too excited to sleep in and are morning people anyway so we get up early and go! Have a magical trip! pixiedust:

Did you find that the lines were bearable at the park you "hopped" to when you got there? My fear is that we will go to the EMH, get on several rides we want to, then hop over to Park #2 and find that b/c we weren't there at opening, we've missed out on Fastpasses, and we will end up waiting longer for those attractions than we would have if we'd just waited...I guess though, sometime during the trip we would make it over there during THAT parks EMH, so worrying about that is moot.

GAH! planning a trip to Disney must be like planning a wedding (I say must be b/c I was married by a Justice of the Peace! Easy as Pie!!!)!!!

We LOVE extra morning hours. Our family rides more in the first couple of hours than the rest of the day. We always go to the park with early entry. After lunch, we leave that park. Our family usually enjoys heading back to the resort for a break (swim or nap) before heading to a different park. Since you get to ride all the big rides during early entry, we use the afternoon/evenings at other parks to ride the less popular rides. We never miss a park with early entry. We have been doing this for years.

I almost always go oposite EMH. I find the other parks less crowded & when my kids were little I did not want to burn the candle at both ends. If I did EMH then I would have to forgo the evening shows & fireworks.

The only time I found it paid was when it was very hot - AK is brutal so the earlier we got there the earlier we got to leave.
