TouringPlans.com and Extra Magic Hours

I'm trying to put together (a little last minute :o) an itinerary for our trip to WDW next week. I've been using the UG and Touringplans.com. They have suggestions as to which parks to avoid each day and, I guess sensibly, the parks with the Extra Magic hours are always on the no-go list.

We do not have Park Hopper passes. Would it make more sense for us to take advantage of the Extra Magic hours (really we would only use the morning hours) or to avoid those parks and go instead to the ones TouringPlans suggests for that day?

Thanks for your help!

I remember reading that if you don't have hoppers you should avoid the parks with the am EMH.

The reason is that lots of people will plan on going to the EMH park and some will sleep in but still go to that same park (ADRs, etc). It ends up getting crowded by 11 or 12 and then you are stuck as you can't switch parks.

That's what I was thinking - it makes sense! Thanks. :)

I'm in the same boat. I thought we should take advantage of EMH since we are staying on property...but the UG says not to. We don't have hoppers, either.

Does it matter if the park is having am or pm EMH? Does it get more crowded on either of those, or any EMH means it will be more crowded?

No, it doesn't matter if it's an a.m. or p.m. EMH - the park with the EMH will be more crowded. I would also suggest avoiding the EMH parks since you don't have hoppers.

so here is my question:

i was thinking of hitting MK on the day w/early morning hours because i figure in that 1st hour you could hit most of the rides they have open! now how long do you think it would take to hit those rides on a non early morning entry? more than 1 hour probably? i figure i'm only going to stay in the park till about 2 or 3? bad idea? or good?
