I need advice on touring WDW with two boys ages 8 & 11. They will probably not be huge roller coaster fans ie: Tower of Terror but I can see us doing Space Mountain. We will be traveling in the summer.

Right now I have the following planned:
Day 1--arrival day (pool?)
Day 2--DS
Day 3--Water Park
Day 4--Epcot
Day 5--AK

I want this trip to be relaxing, but it doesn't look like I will have room for the MK! :confused3 . I love the MK.

I had planned to tour in the AM, take a break, and return to the same or another park in the PM. Any help. . .

Have them look at what they want to do at DS- many of the things are geared to girls (Beauty and Beast/Mermaid) or young children (Playhouse Disney). If you arrived at opening on DS day- rode RnR if so inclined, headed to Animation Tour or Great Movie Ride, and then did the first Indi show (about 10am), rode Star Tours, did the other of the above, LMA show 1 (between 11:30-12:00, and then had lunch and did the backstage tour, and maybe Muppets you would have plenty of time to get to the MK and enjoy some on the rides there.

I wouldn't allow an entire day for a waterpark. They can be exhausting and you will run out of stuff to do. I would allow a morning at a waterpark getting there when it opened and then spend the other half day at DAK or DS. That will free up a day for MK.

In the summer my family could only take about 3 hrs at the water park. way too crowded.

I take it from your list you are not getting park hoppers. These are the options I could find.

3day base ticket $192 adult, $158 child
3day MYW plus (3 options) $246 adult, $211 child
4day MYW plus (4 options) $258 adult, $221 child
4day park hopper $248 adult, $210 child

I think I would invest another $34 and get a four day ticket with options and then just do one day in each park plus have the option of spending a few hours at a water park or disney quest.

Sorry. I have 8 and 11 year boys and disagree with some of the responses. My boys can spend and entire day at the water park. We usually head to a resort restaurant for a late dinner after we've gone back to the room to rest. Also, Space Mountain IS a roller coaster and Tower of Terror is NOT. My boys LOVE ToT. Rock and Roller Coaster IS an intense roller coaster. On the other hand, my boys are BORED with Magic Kingdom. Almost all the rides are geared toward little kids. My boys like Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain and Philharmagic there but not much else. IF we go there, we usually only spend a half-day there. My boys LOVE Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney Quest, the water parks, and MGM Studios.
