Touring Plans Crowd Tracker Updates

Just so it's all covered, mine is end of October and went up for every day as well

Yes! :( All mine went up in late June too. Glad we got all the ADRs and FP+ we wanted. But man!

This sort of change is why I no longer rely on TP's crowd predictions. Their touring plans are still great, though.

Can't just be late Labor Day. Why would that have an effect on June and July predictions? Those all went up. I would think that late Labor Day would add another week to summer season and thus spread out the overall total summer crowd a tiny bit more. I looked some historic numbers from last year and they are lower than these new predictions. Go figure.

Ours went up, in some cases 2 levels for early June too, but I thought the previous ones were way too low for the first week of summer anyway, these seem more accurate.
Yep mine too for first 2 weeks in June-and DHS still seems on low side to me with SWW.

Just got my email from Touring plans............some big updates for 1st week of December and 1st week of January (marathon week). Guess there aren't any slow times at WDW anymore.

Doug :goofy:

All our days increased too :headache: We'll be there Sept 25-Oct 3 and all our park days went up. I read that typically TP adjusts their crowd levels when park hours change but I can't find any evidence that park hours have changed. That just leads me to think they adjusted them because of the predicted crowd levels during free dining.

Maybe because of Food and Wine starting?

I hadn't made up any actual plans yet, did anyone here have TPs made up and are they reflecting the changes now?

I'm keeping my plans the same @BuzzinDownToDisney. I'm happy with what I have and I honestly don't think the crowds will be bad anyway. Hopefully that won't come back to bite me...:rolleyes1

We usually go in October but are going in August (16-20) this year instead. Since we've never been in August I subscribed to TP to learn more about crowd levels and get guidance on the best way to plan our days.

I got the e-mail with the changes to our days - every day went up by 2.
Mon Aug 17 - Epcot - From 6 to 8
Tue Aug 18 - MK - From 7 to 9
Wed Aug 19 - Epcot - From 6 to 8
Thu Aug 20 - HS - From 5 to 7

MK is a "9" on Dec 21 & 22 --- am I going to be dealing with Christmas crowd levels? :crowded:

I've been telling DH & DD that this August trip is NOT going to be like October --- weather-wise and crowd-wise. I'm trying to lower all of our expectations and planning on lots of down time at the resort. At least I got an awesome/magical deal at the Polynesian and I used points for our airfare so this trip is costing us a lot less than our previous October trips have. But we all know how Disney math works. :teeth:

Yeah mine went up too for Nov 5-10, but I felt like they were too low before and I didn't really believe them. Now they more closely match what Josh was predicting and those numbers make more sense.

Same here. Last week of June went from 7's and some 5's to almost all 8's.

I'm not surprised.

However, if you look back at their predictions for same days in 2014. They overestimated every day. Hoping same is true this year.

Easywdw has last week in June as all 8's.

All the days in the first week of December went up except MK on December 4th. It went down from 2 to 1. I hope that turns out to be true. I chose my park days based on 4 different sites. They all seem to agree on the recommended parks.

Just to add my info my 2 weeks mid July all went up pretty substantially too

Don't think that should have been a surprise to them though. Should have been factored from the start.

I agree. I have seen on other threads about this issue today, responses from Dis veterans that are rather predictable such as the "Disney is busy all year now." I headed that off at the start of this thread preemptively with my opening statement. Those responses do not address the real issue people are bringing up, which is that it is odd that TP is showing rather large crowd increases all over the place, all the sudden. For a pay site this should be something that is somewhat reliable. People plan their vacations around this sort of thing. All of these scheduled events people are bringing up, placements of holidays, etc, are not an excuse for the poor prediction they seem to have done. And saying that that Disney is just "busier now" as an explanation is goofy (pardon that). It is certainly NOT 3 points busier than last year, or anything even close to that.

I think someone earlier nailed it when they said it seems that the TP computers spit out crowd predictions, post them, and they don't get reviewed by a person until sometime later who says... "Whoops, better adjust those."
