Touring Plans just emailed me some crowd tracker updates for my trip (August 20-30) and wow did they ever change their predictions! One Example...
  • August 22, 2015: Resort-wide Crowd Level updated from 5 to 8.
  • August 22, 2015: Epcot Crowd Level updated from 5 to 7.
  • August 22, 2015: Disney's Hollywood Studios Crowd Level updated from 6 to 7.
  • August 22, 2015: Disney's Animal Kingdom Crowd Level updated from 5 to 6.
  • August 22, 2015: Magic Kingdom Crowd Level updated from 5 to 8
Overall Resort Wide jump from 5 to 8. Seems like a lot. Most all of my park predictions go up 2 or 3 crowd points per day. Magic Kingdom, Tuesday the 25th for instance was originally predicted as a 3 and is now a 6. And yes, I get the whole, "there's no slow time at Disney World anymore" thing, but what change in conditions might have caused this rather distinct shift in crowd predictions? Does Free Dining kick in right at the "wrong" time for my trip or something?

Almost every park on almost every date for our trip in September showed changes in our email this morning, but they are just shifting crowds around for my dates. Some parks have higher crowd estimates, and others have lower, on the same dates.

Not on mine. They are all pretty much like the one you see above. Up.

We arrive the Wednesday after Labor Day. If you arrive before Labor Day, their crowd predictions were obviously too low until now. In fact, they may still be too low.

I have trips planned for early June and early December and crowd levels were raised substantially for every single day.

October went up as well, not substantially though. I am sure that will be coming in another month or two.

They probably were adjusted due to the late Labor Day and the discounts/free meal plan .. that were announced a few weeks ago.

I hear you, but let's be honest... they predict crowd levels for end of August "pre-Labor Day" Every. Single. Year. They should be experts at it.

I think the PP that says it looks like they did not take the lateness of Labor Day this year into account might be more on track. Even so, they didn't take the fact that Labor Day is late into account a long time ago? Pretty silly and unimpressive if they only now realized it.

I agree - When my wife saw the low crowd predictions the week before Labor Day she told me to think about moving our dates up so we could bring our boys. My experience as a WDW "frequent flier" told me that TP was wrong, so we didn't change.

Those of us who go every year at this time knew better. Josh knew better. The folks at TP should also have known better. To me - it smells of a computer program spitting out numbers without adequate review by a human being.

Agree 100%

August 28th. That might be why.
I wonder if free dining starting on 8/28 will make the week of 8/24-8/27 a slightly lower crowd level. Not only will a lot of students be heading back to school, but people may try and shift their travel plans to a few days later to get that free dining. I mean there is still that X% room discount going on during that time .. so it is probably a wash.

Let's hope! That's the week I'll be there :)

Ours went up, in some cases 2 levels for early June too, but I thought the previous ones were way too low for the first week of summer anyway, these seem more accurate.

Nope. We are arriving on the 13th leaving on the 29th and every single day went up.

We're there the 20th of August till the 30th. The early part of our trip now is really bad, that latter part is what we experienced last year from 8/26-9/03
