Touring Plans Crowd Calendar

We are going Aug 31 -Sept 9 and my dh said he got an email from TP's today with increased crowd calendar numbers

Isn't Free Dining starting later in August? I'm going at the beginning of the month and I got a crowd calendar updating every day but two out of eight, increasing crowd levels to a couple of 6's and mostly 7's. It doesn't jibe with the lower June crowd reports. I was just there starting on Memorial Day and it seemed much more crowded than the same time period over the past two years, but then again Pandora was in opening week. After that it seems everyone left.

I got an update yesterday for a few April/May 2018 dates...they changed May 2nd, 2018, from a 4 to a 1. I am incredibly skeptical that any day in MK is a 1!

The closest I've come was at Epcot on the day it closed early last year, for Hurricane Matthew. It was pretty dead when we arrived and only got progressively more empty as the day went on. That was a 1 for sure, at least what I'd call a 1, as empty as I'd ever seen the place.

I've been, a couple of times.

We rode Buzz time and time again. The first few times, they had us walk around. After that, we just stayed put.

There were maybe a dozen people in Tomorrowland.

Now that you mention it, I guess I saw what MK would be like at a 1 the first time we did Disney After Hours. We often found ourselves the only person on the sidewalks

I've seen both of those. And they are okay. I've even printed them out for September. Yes, both sites.

I always forget about WDW Prep School. Which is funny because I love, and used, DL Prep School, the sister site.
One thing I like about Kenny's, and mostly it's because I'm used to his layout, I like seeing all the times there at one place. Park hours, shows, etc.
Prep School has it but I don't read theirs quite as easily but it's just not the layout I'm used to, not anything wrong with it at all.

I've used both Touring Plans and EasyWDW and Touring Plans ALWAYS won out for correct information. I love that Josh put down explanations, but he started copying and pasting them, so it didn't even matter after a while.... then stated that he didn't want to do crowd calendars anymore because with Fastpass Plus it's too unpredictable - yet Touring Plans has still been accurate since he went off the grid. So the fact that he's back at it, after a year doesn't really prove anything but the fact that he is looking to be relevant again.

Thanks for these links...I had not looked at kennythepirate's before. Looks like my plan is pretty good except for 8/16 when we plan on doing MK. Still going to RD and if it gets too crowded we may hop to another park that day.

We were there last August 19-27 and had a mix of 5's and 6's. Honestly it was very manageable. I felt we didn't wait long at all for any ride. We will be back again this year on August 18th.

According to Kenny the Pirate, we've picked the best days to go to each park, just about. I used touring plans to decide, but looking at Kenny's felt like a pat on the back.

I think he said because Disney couldn't get their hours posted in a timely manner anymore.

We are back at CBR this trip. We stayed there earlier this month and had just a wonderful trip. Going back for a quick trip for my birthday at the end of the month and found a really great price at CBR right before they had that massive outage following that failed upgrade so we are going back there

Yeah, in a nutshell, this is the underlying problem. That and it's pretty repetitive month after month.
