Hi All:
Arriving at US from Disney on October 11. We have 3 days (Sun 12, Mon (Holiday) 13, Tue 14) to do both Universal parks and Sea World. Staying at RP with Park to Park tickets. I would love your advice on the following:

1. Which days would you choose for each park?
2. Are people still dividing their days with IOA one day and US the second? Or are they doing all Harry one day and then the rest of both parks the second day?
3. I've heard that Universal can be enjoyed with much less planning than Disney- is this still true since the opening of Diagon Alley? Should I plan the HP stuff and just wing the rest?

I haven't been to Universal since I was a kid so would love any advice you have :)
Thanks!

you are saturday but planning on sun, mon, tues for the parks.
right?
sunday will be crowded in the parks.
monday will also have some crowds as it is Columbus day.
Tuesday should be a great day for doing the dark side and you should be able to get a lot done.

i would hit SW on Sunday.
if you start early on monday for the darkside, you can get a lot done.
i usually see the crowds around noontime in the parks.

i started including the columbus day weekend in my stays back in 2004.
it was always a great time period to be there.
in the past 3 years, that weekend has grown in numbers.
we can thank HHN for bringing in the crowds and having people stay a few nights on site.

you will be staying onsite so you will not have long waits for rides in the parks.
the parry hotter sections will be the things that will bring on the waits.

since you have PtP tickets, you can easily move from one park to the other if one is congested.

you will a great time at the dark side!

Thanks for your reply!

Yes- we are moving from Disney on the Saturday and leaving Universal on Wednesday. So planning parks for the days in between (Sun, Mon, Tues)

I was thinking SW for Sunday so I'm glad to know that was a good idea. :)

Playing around on touringplans.com and they are recommending stopping for Minion Rush and Transformers first on early entry before heading to HP areas. Does this make sense? Everything I read says "Go straight there"

I like to have a general plan of attack- if only to prevent back tracking all over the place and plan meals roughly for the areas we will be near.
