We will be there Oct 5-11. Ive already made my dinner plans and pick the parks for each day, but I was wondering if I should plan on what rides to do first and all of that, are the crowds gonna be that big that I should worry about it.

we will be there same time. I'm using tourplans.com

I want a plan don't know if I'll need one but I have one.:goodvibes

I've tried that and it doesn't always work - depending the crowds and length of the lines.

Are you driving or flying from Louisiana? I flying on the 5th from Austin and returning the 11th. Home is Louisiana, Hurricane Katrina sent me to Austin. The others going on this trip are driving from Louisiana on Saturday 4th and returning the 11th.

This will be our 5th trip in 2 1/2 years and I always plan everything!!. We stay offsite at a vacation home, it's cheaper, bigger and we save by cooking. Although this trip it's only 4 going we have 4 ADRs set. I plan our parks based on Tour Guide Mike and get an intinerary on each day. We may not follow it exactly but it gives us direction.

For the last two trips I have even sent our newsletters to all going everything with detail.

One thing we learned on our last trip....never go with a large group.

maybe see you there,

I wouldnt go without the plans from touringplans.com. They work when its really crowded. They should work even better when its not. Of course with reduced park hours, you HAVE to be more efficient.

We never have a set pan for the whole day, but ALWAYS know where we're going for the first hour or two.

Even in October, you'll need some type of plan so you don't wind up looking like first-time tourists standing in the middle of the street asking each other "Where should we go now?"

Try to go to the most popular atractions that will have the longest lines later in the day first. It could save you hours of waiting in line in the long run.

Thanks. We changed some dinner adr and still able to get what we wanted when we wanted it so things look good for the first full week in Oct .

Wow seems like I've seen several Louisiana people going on the same dates we are! We will be getting there on Oct. 4th and leaving the 12th!!

We have picked our days and made ADR's and BBB reso's, we have also picked what days we will be in what parks. I have been checking out the touring plans... I like using the cheat sheets for each park and then mapping out my own plan to use, mainly for the beginning of the day.
