We were planning on going to IOA on Feb 25 and it is calling for 60 percent chance of rain! I don't really want to stay at the hotel either on a rain day, but would IOA be miserable in the rain? Is UO better for a rain day? We don't plan on riding dueling dragons or hulk, but everything else at IOA.

NEVER BELIEVE THE FLORIDA WEATHER MEN!!!!!!!!!!!

that is one helpful hint... i am in florida... i live here. and the thing i cant stand is weathermen that say it is going to rain and it never does... go to universal when it looks like it is going to rain, and then ioa when there is a break... the only outdoor rides at universal are: jaws, and woody woodpekers kiddy coaster.... the shows will be canled ((outside shows)) in the rain... ((those ghostbuster guys are sexxy^__^))

i personally do not mind going in the rain, because it cools you off.... unless it is lightning and thundering... then you would go into spiderman, or rotm... for cover... you can ride that till the rain lets up...

when i go, i go on the roller coasters when it rains, so that the lines are shorter... the only down fall to that is the rain hitting your face in the front row of the hulk going close to 60mph... >.< it hurts my face so... but it is worth it^___^

we did universal a few years ago during a cool feb.

It rained when we were at IOA, rain on the coasters feels like sleet hitting your face, you get wet on some of the water rides anyway, and we were virtually the only ones there.

We wore ponchos but had soaked feet. We were pretty miserable by the end of the day but have great pictures of us wearing our clear plastic pochos looking like drowned rats!

Best thing, NO LINES.

but, still hoping for nice weather next week

There is no way you can get an accurate predicition that far out. Never put stock in any predicition unless it is a 24-48 hour prediction.

If it rains, it's usually in the afternoon. And right now, the kind of fronts that are passing thru are cold fronts that only have a small band of showers. After the front passes, the temps drop into the 50s, but the skys clear, and the temps gradually warm up. I wouldn't worry about it.

We went on a very rainy day in Nov 2003, pouring down rain all day. Parks were pretty well deserted, we walked onto every major attraction in both parks that day, it was wonderful.... :sunny: Late afternoon we had seen everything had very wet feet but had a very memorable day..go anyway, most of us do not melt in the rain and you only are on a vacation a short time..do not give up any of your vacation time to Mother Nature... :sunny:

Same day for me! I hope it doesn't rain .. but it isn't a big deal if it does :)

oooh I just checked Accuweather .. Friday is going to be 47 degrees low .. Saturday 48 .. both rainy =\

Now it is saying Thunderstorms possible - 25 percent chance. I'll chance it. High of 75 - low of 50. I bought the ponchos (cheap cheap ones) and we will have our rainjackets too!

My whole trip seems to have 30% chance of rain .. Thurs to Sunday .. boo
