touring HH

I will be traveling for work and will be near HH. I would love to stop and visit what is there, possibly have lunch there, too. Can I just drive to the resort or do I need to call DVC first?

You can drive over, there is not a full service restaurant there so not sure you would want to have a meal. But you can definitely look around.

I would just check in at the front desk.

I agree ..there are so many good restaurants on HH, I sure wouldn't eat fast food at the resort!

The resort is great and worth a "check out" trip. All of HHI is great and worth checking out if you've never been on the island. As others have said, loads of great restaurants on the island, check out Disney's resort and then try a restaurant on the island.
