Touring DVC resorts

We would like to take a look at the rooms at other DVC resorts on our next trip. Is it possible to tour a room at BWV or VWL or any of the others?

The BWV has a model open that you can enter right from the Boradwalk itself. I'm not sure about the VWL though. I would assume that each resort must have at least a model open so you could see the decor. The rooms themselves are pretty much the same except I read that OKW are a little different size wise. I'm sure there are OKW onwers that can correct me if I am wrong. We never taken the actual DVC tour so I have know idea what they show you, we bought into BWV sight unseen and been smiling ever since.

nah. the BWV still has a model on the boardwalk and SSR and AKV have models since they are still selling them, but to see any of the rest, you'd need to luck out and ask someone at the desk if they have the time and a free room to show you.

if they aren't busy, that might work (i did it last year at OKW when the lobby was empty) but otherwise, it's simpler to look online at photos and go from there...if you've seen one model and look at the pictures, you should get a pretty decent idea of what to expect.

We also own at BWV, and everytime we go we walk thru the model. I tried at WV but didn't find a model, however I'm sure a WV owner can better provide information with regards to that.

We did look at BCV models when they first opened. The square footage is supposed to be the same as the BW, but they did make the closet off the jacuzzi tub room a little smaller and closed off the bathrooms different.

BCV is gorgeous, and one day we will stay there, if we can tear ourselves away from the BW!

Chalee was correct. There are models of the AKL and SSR rooms located over at the sales center at SSR. There is a walk in model right on the Boardwalk. There are no models at the other resorts. Pretty logical, actually, as they are not currently selling the other resorts. IF there is a room empty and IF there is someone available to go with you, they usually are pretty easy about letting you go get a peek at the rooms. We've done it ourselves to get a look at a GV at OKW. That being said, if the rooms are all full and/or they are so busy no one can take you to a room, it may not happen.
