I am leaving 8/11. I am going to WDW for the first time ever. I was wondering if it is worth it for me to join tourguid mike this late in the game? I am clueless of what to expect when we get there. I have made my ADR's but still dont have a real "plan" for when we get there.

I just joined TGM a few days ago and am overwhelmed by all the info. I still haven't quite figured out how to navigate through ALL the pages. I also subscribed to touringplans and I really like the info - short, sweet, and to the point. Both of the sites crowd calendars are very similar as far as the park that they recommend for that day. Both have sample tour plans - IMHO touringplans has more plans that should fit any Disney family's touring needs. Touringplans is around $8 and TGM is around $19 (if you use the TGM link found at the top of some of the disboards pages). Hope this helps!!!

Our family used TGM on our last visit (which was our 10th trip) and I will never go without Mike's advice again! He was spot on with which parks to visit on which day and how to see the parks! He is most certainly worth the money if you want a plan on beating the crowds!

I used TGM and for $20 it was fine. I wouldn't use it again though. Too much info and too hard to navigate. If you've never been to WDW I would subscribe. It has good info. I've done a lot of reading here and in books and have been before, so there wasn't a lot of new info for me.

There's a fairly long thread about TGM on the theme parks board. You should probably read that one for additional opinions.

This late in the game, I'd joing touringplans.com if I were you. You can still access their recommended parks, and download touring plans, which will help if you're going to a "not recommended" park for the day....at least you'll have a gameplan. IMO, there's too much fluff to wade through with TGM before you'd be able to get to the info that you'd need/that would be helpful this late in the game. Save yourself some bucks and go with touringplans.

I joined and I will be there August 10-16 and I am having a hard time navigating,..lots of info, but I can't find certain things...I love several parts of it tho...

Thanks I will def. look at touringplans.com

I really need it for the day planner. I have no idea where to go first, what park to do, what ride to do.. I am clueless...:lmao:
But thanks again!

I haven't used TGM, but I did buy the book The Unofficial Guide to Disney 2008. It offers nice tips and touring plans. I also like having the hard copy without having to print anything. I would suggest getting the book.
