Tourette's/ ADHD/ OCD

Hi! I'm Becky. I'm new on the boards just thought I would introduce myself My ODS Jacob is 9 he has TS, ADHD, OCD, and sensory issues. He is so impulsive, no thinking (about his actions) goes on what so ever. He thinks it he does it. We also have a DS Tyler who is 4, we are pretty sure he will be diagnosed with ADHD at some point......
Anyone else out there dealing with a child like this?

read up on Aspergers syndrome, even if it is nto his formal diagnosis you will learn a lot. Tony Attwoods the complete guide to Aspergers is a good forst read and is available on Amazon.

Sounds like lots of our kids who have not been fully diagnosed, so they are not reciveing the best targeted supports.

Would you mind telling me what meds you are using? We are heading to the dr soon and I don't even know where to start. Do you have any that you've have really awful experiences with? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. We are on Vyvance for the ADHD and it works great. We were on clondine for the tourettes but at full dose he was still having tics. We have been on Abilify for the last year and he has been tic free but we now have to find something new because his liver enzymes having been going up and they think it is the Abilify. I am upset because it was working great. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Michelle

Thanks Michelle. Do you know anything about Intuniv? Our Pedi just gave us a script for that. Said it will help the ADHD not the TS. We aren't really worried about his tics though, just his impulsiveness.
