HAS ANYONE USED THE AUTOMATED TOUR GUIDE MIKE TO HELP WITH THERE PLANNING. I'M WONDERING IF THE INFO YOU GET
IS WORTH THE 22.00.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.:)

I have paid for TGM for our upcoming trip in July. I was curious at to what his site offered and was willing to fork over the $22 to find out. While I find the info very through and informative I do think that the same info is out there on the web and especially here on the DIS boards. It depends on whether you have a good knowledge of WDW already and how much you have read the boards here and at other WDW sites.

If you are the kind of person who likes to look in 1 place for your info it might be worthwhile. It also has a feature that reminds you to make PS ressies,etc... so that is very helpful.

I also subscribed out of curiosity and a thirst for MORE INFO. Yes, much of the stuff can be obtained elsewhere, but I also learned quite a few new things. I think his step by step method for planning is great, and itineraries are very helpful. I vote yes-it's worth the money.

I recently subscribed and agree with the above posts. Most of the information can be found on the web for free or in guide books. I am struggling right now with navigating the site. Every page wants to send me off to read a dozen other pages and each of those sends me in a dozen new directions.

I like his writing style, very lighthearted and humerous. Some of the articles are VERY worthwhile and others not so much.

If you would spend money on guidebooks anyway and like to view your info on the web, I'd recommend TourGuide Mike. If you prefer to see your info on a printed page or if you would hesitate to spend money on a guidebook, I recommend you do not subscribe. It would be a HUGE pain to print a significant number of pages from the website. Buy guidebooks or check them out at the library.

A few things I like about TGM: The PS window alert, personal article file (make your own file of his ideas), insight as to when to be where. I'm sure there's more, just can't think of it now.

The one thing I wish TGM would do is actually suggest to me "Go to MK on Tues, see this parade, do this attraction. Wed. go to AK, save energy for MVMCP." Actually put an itinerary together. I e-mailed this idea to TGM and they say they are working on something akin to this idea.

I'll subscribe again for future trips.

I like to look at the restaurant reviews at the TGM site, just to see how other's experiences were during meal time. While I did not pay for the service I did find lots of useful info on the site.

I agree with the other posters. Very useful information, especially the itinerary suggestions. There are itineraries based on your style of touring and who's in your group. There is a lot of free info out there, but this way it's all centralized and you get a bit more info. I recommend it.

I have found his website helpful for our July trip. It can be hard to navigate, but his site always seems to be a work in progress to improve itself. I e-mailed him with a question about the Family Magic Tour, and he e-mailed back the very next day. I don't think I have wasted my money (but I'm an info junkie) and I would use him again for future trips.

I kinda agree with peg2001. But for our trip to the world in 2000 I purchased a passporter guidebook. I thought it was well worth the purchase price. I think I paid approximately 25.00? You can find their website at www.passporter.com It covers every question you can practically think of. It covers the resorts, restaurants, attractions, costs, helpful hints, etc. I found it very practical, easy to carry through the parks in our backpack. I'm debating on whether or not to obtain one for this years trip. I don't know that things have changed much since 3 years ago.

FYI, TGM is having a sale 6/15 - 6/30 (I think). $15.00 for his services.

Yes, they are. Go to www.mousesavers.com & the info is posted there & it gives you the link to his site. I haven't gotten it, but if you are debating then I would think that for $15 it's probably worth it.
