Tour Guide Mike

disagreements aside, I am curious to know if the OP changed the dates as I tried to help with step by step instructions. Incidently, simply scrolling down the home page after signing in and actually looking at what the page had to say would have made it a non issue as the link to change the information is right there. It really isn't hidden or even hard to find. At any rate, I hope that the OP has a great trip using whatever planning tool he or she chooses or non at all.

Diser are great most times but man oh man if you dare have an opinion other than some of them stand by to stand by

SO TRUE! SO TRUE!!! :thumbsup2 I'm with you, I want everyone's opinion so I can weigh the info and make my own choice!

To the poster irked by the OP's opinions I'd like to say that TGM is the only one in control of how well he services his customers. As a small business owner myself, I know that my business' reputation is only as good as the product/service I supply to customers. TGM isn't owed a free ride just because it's his livelihood...he's taking money to provide a service and if he fails his customers, less than positive reviews are the price he pays.

I don't mind if people post about their experiences with any service. I do have a problem with creating a new screen name to do it. It makes me think that they are a troll or something like that. The first two people that posted had one post. Hmmm:fish: fishy

True, but maybe he should have checked his facts before trashing TGM. He didn't need customer service to do what he wanted, it is very clear when you sign up when your service will end and like someone said you can actually get the service for more than 12 months--he had nothing to fuss about.

Ditto. I have no problem if other people don't like TGM, for whatever reason (site layout, doesn't fit their style, etc.). What I DO have a problem with, is that the majority of the threads complaining about TGM have misinformation. Maybe it's just me, but I think people would take a closer look and ask questions BEFORE complaining. (ie "TGM doesn't have TSMM!" rather than "Does TGM have info on TSMM?") :confused3

Yes, how nice of them (him?) to register. :)

I do think Mike needs to make it clear what he doesn't provide. One, a truly automated plan. Two, personal help from Mike himself, as could be misconstrued from this on the sign-up page:

I know that I can contact TourGuideMiKE.com should I have any questions, comments, or concerns. This web site, like most others on the Internet, has the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of every page no matter where I am. (Yep, I scrolled down and there it is in the third line, far left!)

See, you can criticize and still be a fan. ;) I just signed up again and my next trip possibly isn't for another 4 years. His trip date calendar doesn't go that far ahead so I'll have to keep changing it to keep my subscription up to date. :goodvibes

Karen is his sister. As for changing your dates you can do that on your own Cutomer Service doesn't need to do that for you.
I'll try to walk you through it.
go to the website and sign in.
On the left side of the home page once you sign into your account you will find a block that says: HELP click the part that says: CLICK HERE TO CHANGE ANYTHING ON YOUR QUESTIONAIRE
scroll about 1/2 way down to where it says VACATION DATES.
In that block called vacation dates click on the part that says CHANGE ANSWERS
That will take you to a page that says Step 1
The Second block on information thaere says YOUR VACATION DATES
You can change your dates ther either by clicking the link that says RESET MY VACATION DATES or by just changing the dates on the drop down in that same box.
One you have changed your dates, scroll down to the end of the page.
click SUBMIT
It will go to a screen that says CREATING YOUR AUTOMATED VACATION PLANNER. It may take a bit but be patient and it will process your change. It will then take you back to the previous page where you can make other changes or it will redirect you back to your TGM home page.
You should be all set after you do that:thumbsup2

You also should join the forums over on the TGM site. You don't have to post all the time or at all but you may get quicker answers by posting right on those forums than you would coming to another forum and posting your question that is TGM specific. Whether it be tech problelms or planning questions there is usually someone there that will answer you pretty quickly and help you in anyway they can.

I do not have any button to click on to change anything showing up. Its really frustrating. I am on the exact same page doing exactly what you said. There is no button there at all. My orginal dates were September into October.. Maybe thats why? I didnt go and am now going this winter instead so I wanted to change it.

He has been at his sister's bedside in the hospital. She is in CRITICAL condition. Family is more important than business any day!

If you would have brought this up on his forums instead of over here, somebody would have made you aware. Also, he states that you can follow him on Twitter. They will give you a full refund if you are not happy.

Have you posted for help on TGM forums- Site Tech Forum?

If your orig trip dates were Sept or Oct- your subscription is good til 60 days past your trip- so you must still have access?

And honestly- changing your trip dates is not complicated or necessary at all to still be able to access/utilize the info on TGM.

No not yet. I only just noticed it tonight. I know I can still get the December info so its not a huge deal but it would have nice to change out the dates so I could customize things. I am not going to email Mike when he is going through so much. I guess I could always ask on the forum maybe. Thanks for the info though. I am thinking its mainly because my original trip month was September. Maybe once you are in that month it wont allow changes. At least I can still view December info .

PM me with your email address I can send you a screen shot of my homepage. If you still can not find it. It really is there, I promise it isn't something exclusive to my page. Like I said, sign into your account, you will get to the page that says:

Hi, (YOUR NAME)! This is your AVP Organizer page. Before diving into your planning, please first review the AVP Overview to learn where everything is and how I hope you'll use the AVP

Look directly to the LEFT of the above. You will see a box that says: THE LATEST

Scroll down to the end of THE LATEST box, still looking on the LEFT. Immediately UNDER THE LATEST box is a box that says HELP. It has a question mark on it. The wording on the box says:

Click here to edit anything on your AVP Questionnaire: dates, email address, username, etc.

Thank you! I pm'd you.

The TGM site is hard to navigate (at least it is for me). I am a bit disappointed that TGM states (right on the front page) "TGM automated vacation planner" - nothing automated that I can see.

I have found useful info on the site and I do love the "least crowded park days." I wish there were an easier way to print them out though. I have found the boards not so responsive (nothing like the dis anyway)

I don't hate him or love him:flower3:

That might be wise. I also think that it's perfectly fine to pull one's children out of school to go to Disney at an off-peak time. Clearly, I'm both a heretic and the World's worst parent......at least according to some DISers.

LOL :lmao:. Sounds Dangerous is the best attraction at WDW.

TGM is a great site! Lots to read and tons of been there done that knowledge.
