Tour Guide Mike?

:welcome:
I know a lot of people rave about TGM.

My feelings are if you are going frequently(1-2 times a year) you probablly don't need it, because you will do something you missed on another trip.

But if you are new to WDW (or haven't been there in a while)or this is a big trip for you/family or you will not be back for a few years, that there is a lot going on- and if you are spending 3-5,000+ on a trip I think the <20 investment is worth it. On the Theme Boards there is a link for a discount.

FYI I think I will be buying it for my 2006 Christmas trip...because I have never gone at Christmas(historically the busiest time).

Good Luck in your :scratchin decision

Is Tour Guide Mike worth it?

I am a TGM Believer. I think his site helped me A LOT with this last trip. I have the UG, Passporter, and other "tools" but something about TGM was different.
It is a hard site to navigate from jump, but once you figure it out it really is simple with everything you need at your fingertips.

ALSO there is a money back guarantee while using his site. Mike stands by his site, and if you aren't liking it, then cancel.

I am signing back up for my next trip.

Would you recommend him for a Nov. 25 - Dec. 2nd trip or are the low crowds not worth it?

I would say its definitely worth it...as you are coming in on a VERY busy weekend!

TGM is worth it at least once - picked up some ideas there that I did not get from the unofficial guide or from passporter

He was bang on with a number of his recommendations

We followed his MK touring plan on a busy day and we were always ahead of the crowds all day long

I subscribed to TGM about 2 months ago-- i started clicking around and i thought-- eh- maybe i wasted my money- but- if i get a few tips out of it, i guess it will be worth it. i have been to disney 10 times before and what else could i possibly learn.......

so i needed to start thinking about ADRs and what day i want to do what parks etc- well i didnt want to plan my ADRs until i checked out TGM's tips first. i planned my whole trip just by TGMs best park times, and worked around that. so i definately think it was worth the money just for that :thumbsup2

the rest of his site- honestly- i have a bit of A.D.D.-- when i look at his site it is a bit overwhelming to me- THERE IS SOOOO MUCH TO LOOK AT- which is in NO WAY a bad thing! he gives you TONS of info however, my brain just looks at it all at ONCE and it is too much to process!

it feels like it might take me forever to get through all of his tips!

he also suggests to get to the parks early- DH and i are NOT early risers so THAT was out of the question!

honestly- i think my money was WELL spent just for the low best park times!

....i really dont think i helped you at all...did I? ......i am just rambling! : :hyper2:

I am a complete TGM believer. I began last February as a complete novice. I have learned so much that my family all say I should be WORKING for disney or TGM.

I would say that if you are willing to make a time investment and take some notes you will reap the benefit of a better trip with less stress. Even in November.

Either way, TGM offers a complete refund, so if you find it not to your liking, you can email him and he will refund your money.

Have a great vacation.

I'm Banannas    about Disney!

Don't want it, don't need it. I've gotten enough info from all our trips and reading free books, offical and unoffical, that its a waste. What great info can you get for 20 bucks, how long the ride lines, its just past averages and always diffent when you go. Crowds can not be predicted, no better than the weather. You just make the best of the info at hand, tons out there for free, go when you can, see and do what you like and learn from your experience. I don't need help from a guide that costs money. If he was really Disney orientated, the guide or info should be free. People on these boards have more personal insight into whats what at WDW and gleeming that info is free for the taking, plus if you have a query, ask away, you'll get tons of answers, input and data, both pro and con to sift through. Just my opinion.

We know quite a bit about WDW and we tried TGM.

There was a lot of info there. MAke sure you have plenty of time to read.

Some stuff you may know, some stuff not.

Worth the $20 IMHO>

I just signed up for TGM a couple of weeks ago for our upcomming trip. Even though we are going during a SLOW season, we are going with our 2 small children (both under 3) so we want to tour the park the smartest way possible. I think it was the best $$$ spent!!!! The DIS boards are great but TGM gives you so much wonderful info, it can't be beat, IMO.
