has anyone use TGM for a christmas vacation during Dec 22 thru the beginning of January and did his advice work, would you use it again if you returned to the kingdom during the busiest time of the year??? I am traveling next December and i need all the help I can get to make that vacation as enjoyable as possible without going insane, I have heard about the crowds, but im hoping there's a way to cope with them. Please let me know about TGM.

We just returned from WDW (12/7-12/12). This was my second trip to WDW and the first time I used TourGuideMike. I found the advise and sample touring plans very helpful (even though I had trouble keeping my "girls" to schedule). We went to MVMCP on a "non-crowded" night (later I found out it was sold out) and TGM suggestions got me ahead of most of the crowd.

thanks for replying jscottnc do you feel like you couldnt have done it without TGM, or is it something you would have done on your own.

We used TGM Dec. 17-24, 2005. We followed his advice and our trip went well (except when I couldn't get my DH and DD up early in the morning). I'm planning a trip for next December, and I've already signed up for TGM.

I used it to take my 19 mo DGD, DS and DDIL to Food and Wine festival, free dining and MNSSHP - it worked like a charm. I then changed my plans for this Christmas based on his advise.... What he says makes sense.

but not during the busiest time of the year!! That alone is why you should try it. I'd sign up NOW and give yourself a year to plan and absorb all the info he has to offer.

For $20, it is SO worth your money and time. It will make your vacation so much better.

OK, we have gone twice without TGM and once with. I signed up again for our nest trip. I won't go without him ever again, whether we go during a crowded time or not. The forums on there are so nice and helpful. It is beyond worth the $. You'd pay the same for some of the planning books, but he has more info and lots of other TGM people on the forums to help you out. They will look at your itinerary and touring plans and give you ideas. When we went without TGM, we used a lot of fast passes and traveled back and forth across the parks so many times and stayed late and by the end of each day, we were exhausted. With TGM, we did a lot less walking and didn't even need to rely on FP's, though we still collected them and gave them away if we didn't use them. We only had 1 day where we were exhausted and ready to snap at each other, and that was around 11 PM during the MVMCP. We decided to leave the park right then and there. Other trips, we were exhausted and ready to snap after the first or second day. Definitely beyond worth it! You do need to do some planning and make his tips work for your family, but the concepts can fit anyone's style. I say join now, and have fun!! It won't cost any more to join now, and you'll have the whole year. Oh, and he will remind you when you need to do things like ADR's, which is nice.

We are still planning our first TGM trip, but I though I would speak up anyway.

We are arriving a few days before Presidents week and staying 9 nights, so we will be there for the worst of the week. In the past we have gone in the summer and during Christmas week. I noticed based on Trip reports here on the Dis that crowds seem to have increased, so I was stressed that President's Week 2008 may be busier than Christmas Week 2002 (which was wonderful, never waited in a line more than 20 minutes :santa:, so I did something right).

I signed up for TGM to see if his site could help me. My family was worried that I would be making them stick to a strict schedule :lmao: .

What TGM has done for me is teach me how the crowds work, what to expect, and how to plan to stay ahead of the crowds and have a fun trip.

Could I have gleaned similar information on Disney boards, maybe. But when I started reading TGM and applying his philosophy to my plans, my stress about the trip evaporated :thumbsup2 ! Even when he just confirmed my decisions from previous trips, I now understand why the choices I made worked. This in turn makes our plan more flexible.

I like TGM, but I think that I like the tools and tips from Passporter better.
