I have the 2002 edition of Passporter, and a few weeks ago, I signed up for the Vacation Planner at Tour Guide Mike (So far, it's
been worth it, though I hope he gets his articles "in progress" finished by my Nov. trip).

Now I'm not sure whether I should spend the money on the 2003 Passporter--Does anyone have the new edition? Does it seem to
have a lot of new info?

I too have the Passporter 2002, bought it a few months ago. You can always go to the Passporter site and print out the updates. They even have the little marks for the ring binder ( this works if you have the deluxe edition). Not that much has changed from what I have read so buying the 2003 didn't seem really worth it.....Now when the 2004 comes out.......:)

Does anyone know if there are alot of passporter updates since 2000? I was considering a 2003 because of the binder but would like some new info too. I also signed on for Touguide Mike and I'm hoping he has all info before my August trip too! Thanks . Eileen

Eileen - If the only edition that you have is the 2000 edition, I would definitely recommend that you get the 2003. I got the 2000 edition as a freebie and a lot had changed between that edition and my 2002. So go for the 2003! :D You will have the most current information and the page layouts have greatly improved. I can't make any comparsion between the 2002 and 2003, but I know that if I had a 2003 trip planned, then I WOULD buy the 2003. Have a great trip!

I have the 200 edition as well, and was just debating whether I should get the 2003 about the time when TGM came out.

I did not buy the Passporter because you have a lot of info online with TGM and I really like the convenience of just printing what I want and not have to search through webpages to download updates. Yes, he has to get his butt busy finishing those articles!

But you can get a lot of info in the meantime.

Also, I do not like to carry a guidebook with me. I do all the planning at home and compact the information to the point where I bring an acordion folder along, categorizing each compartment *my* way and bringing only what we'll need to get around. I'll know where my meal info is, our ticket, car ressies, hotel info, etc.

lalapodip - Thanks for the reply! sounds like an update is in order.

Tree of Life - I have also used an accordian file and it worked very well!!! The thing I like about the passporter is that after you fill out all your travel arrangements, hotel ressies, dinner ressies etc, it becomes a wonderful momento of your WDW vacation!! We can recreate all those "magical moments" just by reviewing where we ate and what parks we were in each day. We're going on the Auto-Train for the first time and we're really excited. Hope it's a fun experience. If not we'll just have to make it fun!!!

Of course you will make it fun, Eileen! At least you're not doing the driving. And I agree about the PassPorter becoming a souvenir - I love going back through mine!:)

lalapodip - You are such a sweetie! We have flown numerous times (my favorite way to go!) and driven a few times too. The drive just beats me up.....I hate being tired my first day! Flying and renting a car is too expensive this trip so when I saw the auto-train sale I jumped on it. We live in NY so I'll be driving 5-6 hrs to Va. but that's no problem since I can RELAX on the train and just enjoy being with the guys. It leaves at 4:00pm and when you wake up in the morning you eat breakfast and pull into the station at 8:30am!! It's only a 1/2 hr drive from there.. Eileen

I cannot comment on the differences in 2002 and 2003, as 2002 is the only one I do not have. However, I think there are many differences between the 2000 and 2003, I would definitely get a new one, if that's the last one you have. I am only about 1/3 of the way through my 2003, but there seems to be quite a few changes since the 2000.
