Good morning, Everyone!

I hope you nice VMK experts can help clear something up for me. As you can see from my signature, I have TWO trips coming up, with only two weeks in between! :Pinkbounc

The first is to DL, and the second is to WDW. This is a very big deal to us, and while we get down to WDW a few times a year (when I can grab $49. airfare), I have never been to CA or of course DL before. The close timing just worked out that way, due to airline miles that were about to expire, work schedules, etc.

Now my question: We have our tour certificates printed out, enough for both trips. Will we be able to do both tours, since they are so close together? How about the quests? How many quests are there and can we do all available at both parks?

Please forgive my vmk newbie questions, but my son won't be on the DL trip and he would be sad if we couldn't do the WDW stuff together.
Anyone that could help clear up my quest/tour fog and address any time restriction question would be my VMK hero. TIA :goodvibes

Wow, that's a unique (and great!) situation, I don't think I've heard of this coming up before. I'm curious if anyone will be able to answer you here.

Anyone able to go directly to the source and ask? Perhaps a in-park VMK guide might know, and someone could ask on your behalf?

yes you should be able to do both Quests and Tours at both parks they are tied into your ticket media which is different for both parks.

Hope that helps

Oh and Congratulations on your Disney Windfall!

Mal disclaimer I am not now or have I ever been a Cast Member ;)

Thanks so much, Mal and Joe. Oh Mal, I hope you're right! :flower:

I am 100% sure on this one .....but then Disney likes to kick you in the boat when you least expect it ;)

Have Fun!!!!

and do not forget to get the park exculsives cards with purchase items!!!!

Walt Disney World
buy a hat at the Chapeau you get a VMK card for golden mickey ears.
buy a shirt at Sir Mickeys in Fantasyland, you get a VMK card for a t-shirt. buy a photo from Splash Mountian or Buzz Light Year, you get a VMK card for a wanted poster.
There are two other merchandise shops (one is the Trading Post and I forgot the other shops name) in Frontierland that you can buy a pin and you get a VMK card for a pin, and buy candy or other edible item and you get a VMK card for a penny press machine. That is what a Cast Member at the VMK Shop on Main Street told me today when I popped into the Kingdom on my lunch break

Special "gift with purchase" cards:

Series 1 (6 cards)

1 - Fantasyland Magic Mirror (only available at Disneyland) (Purchase any magic trick at the Main Street Magic Shop)
2 - Happiest Celebration on Earth Pin (Purchase any pin at the Astro Blasters store in Tomorrowland or buy pin in Frontierland pin shop )
3 - Golden Mickey Ears (Purchase gold mickey ears at any Disneyland hat shop except the one in the Star Trader)
4 - Retro Mickey T-Shirt (Purchase any T-shirt in the Star Trader in Tomorrowland)
5 - Disneyland Retro Penny Press (Purchase candy at the Pooh Corner Honey Spot in Critter Country)
6 - Wanted Poster (only available at WDW) (purchase an after-ride photo at Splash Mountain or Buzz Lightyear)

IN DW:

Purchase Candy at the candy shop in Frontierland and get red penny press. I can't remember the other store but it is a few shops down and it is a pin store. Any pin will get you a Aventureland Retro Pin

Major luck with this! I am very envious of you going to BOTH parks so close together! Especially when I've never even been to WDW and won't be going anytime in the next 5 years or so at LEAST! LOL! :)

Printing this out. Packing tomorrow! :Pinkbounc

Thanks so much for your help! :goodvibes

Here's more help.

VMK Central at Disneyland is at Innoventions at Tomorrowland. When
I went during the 50th celebration weekend, they didn't have any pre-printed
Tomorrowland quests, and I missed out. I'm making sure I have the WDW
one for my trip next month. (So I suggest printing the DL one before you go.)

Since the quests are completed by scanning your park pass, you won't have
a problem. DL tickets and WDW tickets are unique to each place, so they
won't have you as "complete" when you go to WDW.

I didn't create a "mule" at Disneyland to get the black ears and lanyard or
camera tshirt, but I'm doing that at WDW next month. Then I'll find my
main character and trade it back to "me".

I didn't buy candy, but I did buy a magic trick to get the magic mirror.
Since it's a DL exclusive, I didn't want to leave without it. Because the
VMK card requires a purchase, I found the $3 coin changing trick to be
just fine.

I had a WDW and DL trip within two weeks of each other, and was able to do everything at each one--since they scan your ticket, and the tickets are totally different, there's really no way WDW would know you'd just been to DL or vice versa.

Okay, now we're sorting pins (real ones)! I am so happy to know that we can do both. You know how it is...I could not enjoy the VMK perks at DL if I was worrying the whole time that it might mess up WDW and take any magic away from my son. He's the one who got me hooked in the first place! :flower:

I really appreciate all of the hints, too. They will be read and reread on the plane early Monday morning. I am celebrating my 50th birthday with this trip, and I've never been west of Missouri! Also coming: my DSis41, my DD23, and my DD18, my gift to her for her 18th birthday! We paid $9.50 each for airfare using all of our AirTran points!

You guys have been so much help...Thanks so much!!! :grouphug:
