Tough Decision at DC Need help

My wife and I are going to WDW May 6-13, 2006. Our anniversary is on the 12th. My gift to her is a day at Discovery Cove. She doesn't know anything about it, this is going to be a surprise for her.

My Question/Delimma; She is very much into animals and especially the training of them. She happens to be a professional service dog trainer. I on the other hand am not that much into it. Currently I have her reserved for the trainer for a day and me just the regular dolphin swim program. I understand that we would be away from each other most of the day. Should I change my reservation to TFAD so that I can be with her or just leave it like it is.

I want her day to be "Once in a Lifetime" so I want to be sure that I don't muck it up.

I think she would enjoy it more if you were with her. It's always more fun when you have someone to share the exp with. I would be heartbroken if my DH scheduled this only for me.

I was booked for May 12th too but since I'm flying in late the night before, I switched to the 13th when I saw it was available (it was the only day not available when we first booked).

This is hard for me to say because I'm single and an only child so I don't mind doing things alone. In fact, I'm doing this trip alone including my day at DC. Here's the one reason I think you should go with her....photographs. I'm going to be stuck paying the professionals to take pictures of me because I'm by myself. This is going to cost me a lot (because I know I'm going to love more than one!!). If you were with her, then you could be her personal photographer. Then again, the cost increase for you to take the program could be more than paying the pros!! However, since it's an anniversary, I think you should go with her.

I do think you are right. I just called and changed my all inclusive to the Trainer for a day. I'm glad they still had space available! I didn't think about the pictures that she probably would not have if I wasn't with her.

I can't wait to surprise her with this!

My Dh did this for a treat for me when we were in Cancun, Mexico Wet and Wild. It was an amazing day. Topped cos we shared it, (so I can natter on about it after, and he knows just what im talking about) also he videoed and photographed alot. We scanned a pregnant calf, put medication on a sore on a porly dolphins chin, we did some basic "moves" feed the, then did 3 shows that day. In the final one, 2 dolphins lifted me up out of the pool using their noses on the sole of my feet. ( Knew I was being filmed so TRIED to breath in and smile !! LOL) We swam with them in their "free time" too.We got T shirts to keep, saying "Dolphin trainer".
It was a great day, one I will cherish forever.

Happy Anniversary......... she will LOVE you even more.....
