TOTW Lounge

Does anyone have recent experience for use of the TOTW lounge? I'm a member and staying at BLT at the time we're hoping to go, but one night I'll have three guests who are also staying on site but are not members. Are they not allowed up with me?

We just stayed at BLT for a 1 night getaway about a month ago. My only advice is if you plan on seeing the MK fireworks from TOTWL, do NOT wait until last minute or the place will be jammed. We went up about 30 minutes before fireworks and there were no seats at all left. Room to stand out on the observation deck, but no room inside. TOTWL is a nice little perk, so enjoy!

We went over spring break - we arrived early to have some food and the place was completely empty. I wouldn't say that it ever totally filled up inside, certainly a lot more people came just prior to the fireworks. Most came, watched from outside balcony, and left.

Just back from BLT and went 2x.

1st time skidded in 5 min before fireworks and just went to large observation deck where there was plenty of room.

2nd time..... went starving about 20 min before fireworks. No chairs at bar but ordered some drinks at end of bar and a pizza (flatbread) yummy!! Told them to leave there at end of bar if fireworks show started.... which it did. Came about 1/2 way thru.
After show went to bar ate pizza and place was clearing out....

Looking forward to going to TOTW. Staying at BLT this October, so it will be easy and convenient!

They are supposed to be staying on your reservation to go up with you. If they are not staying with you at BLT, they might not be allowed up.

Yes, but does the CM at the BLT counter actually check? When I went, one person scanned their band, the CM asked how many were with them, and they wrote that number on a card and sent them along their way. It didn't seem like she was checking their names or numbers against a list associated with their room. As long as the number of guests is about right for the roomsize, and it is not a super busy night, I would guess the proposed trip up would be no problem. Extra drink sales for Disney!

You are correct. Best to plan for the rules to be enforced than to expect an exception and be surprised when it is not granted.

Once we had to go back to our room to get DW's DVC ID because they wanted each of us to show them.

I was there Saturday night with 2 friends, showed my card and that was it. Never questioned where we were staying. We got there about an hour before fireworks. There were a couple seats open and a child laying on a couch next to them. The Dad noticed we were looking for a seat and got up and sat with his daughter’s legs across his lap. We ordered the flatbread and a piece of the cake, plus drinks. All were good. We went out to the deck to see the fireworks. First time I was there, enjoyed it!

They are supposed to be staying on your reservation to go up with you. If they are not staying with you at BLT, they might not be allowed up.

If they are members they can go up on their own right. If not they need to be staying in your room to be able to go up with you. However when it is not busy then the CMs checking often only scan one MB and let the guests in if they aren't too many go up with you. But there are some dates, July 3 and 4 and December 30 and 31st where only guests staying at BLT are not allowed to go up to TOTWL.
