This is totally random, but now that I've been here for a few months, for those with cool pics and stuff (not me so much ;) ) I'm just curious: how like your signatures or avatars are you? And in what ways?

I confess that now I hear Gene Wilder read all of Dr. Tomorrow's posts in my head, and Rinkwide makes me think "Cowbell! We need more cowbell!" And I really want to know what the kilts were for.

So, just thought it would be fun.

Combine my avtar and 1st siggie picture, and you've got my greatest loves (not including family and friends). So, they're pretty fitting. In addition, I've had "bear of very little brain" moments, but I've also taken people to the boards!

Well, some of it is a good reflection of me. Like under my screen name, I have ''Home of the World Champion Red Sox'' obviously because I love the Sox :lovestruc
However, my avatar ( I do love Mickey, don't get me wrong) is not exactly what I would like there. I am not techno at all. I really wanted a Snow White avatar but they didn't have one to choose from. And I have no clue how people get their pictures on here. :badpc:
Interesting question, though, love to see other peoples responses.

Athenna, that's hilarious. I, like you, have no idea how people get their pictures on here, and went with the castle because my girls couldn't decide which princess "we" should be. So the castle's fine... I guess... unless someone tells me how to post a picture.

Also love to know what's going on in people's pics.

Glad I'm not the only one :rotfl:
The castle is always a good choice, nothing says WDW like the castle!
This is a good thread, I'm so nosey! :rotfl:

FYI - You used to be able to do custom avators. I've heard you can't do that anymore. Probably why you don't know how. So, don't eb too hard on yourselves!

Thanks! Good to know. I have a giant Pooh Bear fan in my family too, so yours makes me think of her. ALthough she may be defecting to Ariel - she's young and fickle! :rotfl:

Aerial another good choice. I've loved pb since I was a small child and I could only see him on tv 1 or 2 x's a year. I recall many times having to be at my aunt/grandmas on that very special day. Luckily, grandma loved me and let me watch my pb on her tv. There'll be no defecting for me!

I used to be more like my signature when I was a lot younger and in College. Besides Dr. Tomorrow, I'm not sure anyone knows where my signature "knowledge is good" is from or who Emil Faber is? Anyone, anyone?

The photo below is a pic of my DGD (then Cinderella) me, and my twin sister, Fairy Godmother. See if you can figure out which is me and which is her.

(Hint: my white hair is not a wig and she's not wearing Birkenstocks)

"...Animal House, house, house...."

Well, my two favorite Disney characters are Mickey ::MickeyMo and Baloo. I try to live life with the Bear necessities in mind and not to sweat the things that don't really matter :cool1: (hence my Baloo avatar).

As for my signatures...

My blood cells are not in fact shaped like Mickey (last I checked), but I do have WDW running through my being :mickeybar ...

And I was, in fact, raised in a house in New York City...but twice a year trips down to Florida just made it seem as though I were raised on I-95 ;)

Boardwalk...well...that of course is simply to indicate my pride in owning at one heck of a wonderful DVC resort! :)

When I was younger, I always liked the Cheshire Cat - did I spell that right? Anyway, that is why I picked that one. Out of the avitars I saw at the time I registered, that one was the lesser of all evils :)

However, I am not sure it is really representative of me. If I was more computer savy, I'd probably have uploaded one that represented the real me better - though I am not sure what that is. I am still trying to "find" myself :rotfl:

Hi,

Mine is obvious!!! I love Captain Jack Sparrow & the actor that plays him!!

wtpclc That is so funny I am a huge hockey fan as is my wife she is a RED WINGS fan well more a Stevie Y fan.

I am exactly like my signature.....yep, I am a guy!!

And my avatar is not a reflection of me....the "double take dalmation" is actually a reflection of how people react when someone with my screen name indicates that he is, indeed, a guy.

HBC...FABER COLLEGE was founded in 1904 by Emil Faber, philanthropist, father of the modern American lead pencil and brother of Germany's Eberhard Faber. The campus, nestled in Pennsylvania's beautiful Saquatashog river valley, was once the site of the original Faber Pencil Works. The pencil mill was built in Faber because of the town's happy proximity to a natural graphite quarry, forests of virgin pencilwood trees, and plentiful wild eraser-root.
As the vogue for lead pencils grew, Emil Faber prospered. Now rich and powerful, he still regretted never having received a college diploma. Thus he funded the construction of FABER COLLEGE in the town he founded, and was soon granted an honorary doctorate in education from the college which, then as now, bears his name, Faber.

I'm brilliantly deducing the above is aimed at the photo in my sig. Since I added that picture (used to have a shot of BWV) I have learned that a lot less people know about Off Kilter than I thought would. I've been pm'd by a number of people asking about the shot. One person thought it was my family, I liked that one best.

I wouldn't expect it anywhere else, but since this is a DIS board I guess I (wrongly) figured everyone would know the picture is of a TERRIFIC band that plays outside the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot. The name of the Band is (as above) Off Kilter (OK). They have a unique sound, what they call Celtic Rock--traditional Irish songs with a rock twist. Their version of Danny Boy is not to be missed IMHO. OK also plays standard rock tunes, and if you haven't heard Johnny B Goode on the bagpipes you ain't heard nuthin' yet! :teeth:
OK usually plays sun-thurs 230 330 530 630 & 730, shows are 30 minutes long. Oh, and besides all of them being amazing musicians they are really funny as well. Definitely worth a look if you've never seen them. Obviously taste in music is subjective, but if you've never heard them I recommend giving them a try.

As for my screen name and how it's like me--I guess it goes without saying, it's definitely me. I'd rather be in WDW, especially watching Off Kilter.

I knew that had to be a photo of Off Kilter. Was introduced to them (well, not literally) several years ago by friends who are HUGE fans of theirs. I figured if I knew them, everyone must.

I don't have an avatar, obviously. Another who didn't know how, or even think, to get one.

As for the fkj2, it's an assembly of the first initials of my mom's name, my niece's, and my nephew and mine (our's both begin with "J." We used to vacation together at the World. Lately, I've been thinking of changing it to something that is more reflective of life now, but it's hard to change after having been fkj2 for such a long time.

I'm exactly like sig and screen name......Over the past 5 + years I've spent BILLIONS on staying at Disney Deluxes - expecially the BW and YC. Then, I came to realize the savings possible by owning DVC points! Therefore, I'm a 'convert' and my resort of choice is the BW! :)
