Totally Overwhelmed

Hi all,
Just need a few moments to vent because I am so overwhelmed. My hubby and I booked our WDW for Dec. 12-17. Then we got a PIN code and my extended family (Aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, and my mom) all decided to come, so we booked 2 additional rooms. I am now so overwhelmed with trying to plan and do everything.

Our last WDW we booked through a local TA and they were great, and we originally had one booked through DREAMS for May, but my Hubby got deployed and we had to cancel. I wish I had known that I didn't have to book through WDW to use my PIN.

Was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do. This is not my first WDW Trip as a matter of fact it is the 3rd in 2 years, but it is the first doing it for my family, who have ideas of their own. The trip is overwhelming me b/c there is so much going on in my life right now (hubby in Iraq, me finishing grad school) I am losing it and the trip is still 5 months away!

I would contact Dreams and see if they can make the same reservations for you and you can cancel the original or transfer the reservation and then put your agent to work! Let your family drive Dreams crazy, not you.

Emiems20,
Did you invite them?
How did they wind up horning in on your vacation?
I am so sorry for you. I agree you have to much going on in your life now with your husband in Iraq and you in grad school.
Tell them NO GO, maybe another time.
In a couple or 3 years when things have stabalized.
Meanwhile, they can go themselves.
You don't hold the keys to the kingdom.
And travel agents abound.:wizard:

This is not my first WDW Trip as a matter of fact it is the 3rd in 2 years, but it is the first doing it for my family, who have ideas of their own.

If they have ideas of their own, let them plan the trip based on their ideas.

I'm just wondering why YOU are the one planning the entire trip. Did you volunteer do so, or was the responsibility thrust upon you.

Our extended family did a WDW trip, and we DID NOT spend every waking hour together. For example I would say

"Tomorrow, I am going to Epcot, I plan to leave the hotel by 8:15 AM, you can come with me, or do your own thing, just remember we have a diner reservation at 7PM at Chefs De France" ( I would give them a map of Epcot and circle the restaurant location.)

Some days we all went to the park on the same bus, other days some of us slept in or relaxed at the resort. We had a loose plan of what days we were going to each park, but if someone wanted to go elsewhere, they were free to break from the pack. Thats the beauty of the buses.

We made 1 ADR a day to spend together, either breakfast or dinner. They rest of the meals were on your own, often times some of us would wind up together at lunch, and that was ok too.

If I were you, I would call, or sit down with your mom and tell her how overwhelmed you are.
