I don't know if this is the right place to post, but does anyone know what kind of dog it is in the Cesars dog food commercial? I think it is the same dog on their cans of dog food too. It is one if the cutest dogs I have ever seen, so I want to find out the breed. Thanks to anyone with info.:dogdance:

Nicki, I thought it was a Bichon Frise? Hmm- You could be right - I have always told my daughter it was a bichon frise...

It's definitely not the bichon frise. (My mom has one)

I've always thought that dog in the commercial was so cute too!

It is a Westie. Very cute dogs BUT high energy!! They are a true terrier!! Do your research before you get one. Voice of expereince speaking.

Our neighbors had a Westie. Its nickname in the neighborhood was "psycho"

My DD15's best friend has a westie--he is a 20lb ball-o-fire. Terrier through and through. And not always in a good way. He made me stand down one time when I went to bring him in the house--growled and bared his teeth. He made me believe he could eat me!:scared1: My own dog is an 80lb poodle and he's 10 times more laid back than a westie.

True to his breed. My neighbor has one that everyone in the neighborhood calls "Yapper", because he's always barking. His real name is "Chewy", which also fits him, as he thinks he can chew up anyone or anything around. Every time I walk my 80 lb Akita, Yapper wants to take him on. My akita could probably swallow him. He's also always yapping at the neighborhood kids and will chase anything that moves. He is the most hyper dog I've ever seen.

My mom has a Westie, and he is the complete opposite of what everyone on this thread is decribing!lol

He is very quiet, likes to play sometimes, but is very much a loner....interesting.

Yep, it's a westie...If you're considering getting one and have young children a puppy would probably be best. I've had several family members own them and the ones that came into the home, as a puppy, with small children were much better at tolerating kids then the ones that either did not have young children in the house or came to the house as an adult dog. My Aunt has one right now that will attack any child that walks in the door. Here's more info on them.

It is definitely a westie. I love westies, having been owned by 2. They are true stubborn terriers with alot of personality. They are smart, learn what they want to learn, and can be barky. My last westie loved to look out the window and bark at anything. I would tell her to be quiet and she would look at me like I was crazy and continue barking. Do your research to be sure a westie would fit in with your family and life style.

I hope this doesn't sound negative, but they have a very shrill bark it cuts right through you. but very cute with fun personality but ewe that bark would be a deal breaker for me.

My parents have a Westie and my sister has a Bichon - it is definitely a Westie. They are cute little dogs. They can be a bit moody though.
