Let's all hear the collective gasps...I never in my 39 years gave much thought to WDW.

My 20th anniversary is Feb 1 and it just randomly popped in my head that I want to go to WDW. We are usually sit on the beach (Sanibel, FL) kind of people so this is definitely going to be a "grand adventure." :)

Our 19 year old who hates to travel will be staying home to attend college, so it will be just me and the husband. Already purchased plane tickets for 1/27 - 2/3. Currently, we are leaning towards staying at POFQ, although CS is in the running.

We aren't "ride" people - have too much metal in my body and my husband is afraid of heights. Very much looking to walk around to check everything out. We are also doing a day trip to USO as I am a Potterhead. The biggest concern is doing a nice dinner (something other than quick service) on our anniversary - which also happens to be Superbowl Sunday this year.

Look forward to getting to know y'all and learning some good tips :thumbsup2

Welcome! Definitely pop over to the Restaurants section and ask lots of questions so you can find that perfect place to have your anniversary dinner. I just spent my birthday at WDW and can heartily recommend Les Chefs de France in World Showcase, in Epcot.:groom:

WELCOME ! :welcome: Our very first visit to WDW was in 1993. I was 40 years old, and my Husband was ...... considerably older.
( We don't have any children )

I always wanted to go to WDW, but DH would not hear of it because, basically we could not go until our beloved elderly dog had died. A year after she passed on at the age of 17, I brought up WDW again.

We had a blast! We are "ride people", but there are so many attractions that are not wild rides, and are SO MUCH FUN !

I know you will have a great time !

Welcome to the magical world of Disney!

What a great place to spend your anniversary. Its where DH and I spent our 20th!

There are so many fabulous places to pick for dinner. Start with considering if you have a favorite type of cuisine and go from there.

Budget wise there is also the full range. A "signature" restaurant is going to be significantly higher in cost than a regular restaurant. And there are some very luxurious choices as well, like Chef Paul in Epcot and Albert's at the Grand Floridian (I am sure I didn't get the name of that right).

Aside from cuisine, think about if you are going there for a quiet romantic type evening or for the theming or the entertainment.

The dining section on the boards has great reviews of restaurants if you want more info.

have fun planning!!!

Welcome .... I went as a kid in 1979 then didn't return until 2011. We have now gone 5 times since then because it is so fun. Epcot has great restaurants covering the gamut of prices and cuisine. Our 3 favorites are all in the world showcase:

LeCellier - Canada - steakhouse
Biergarten - Germany - German buffet
Via Napoli - Italy - pizza
