Hessman, I wasnt originally going to respond to your post as everyone has pretty much pointed out that everyones workplaces are different. However, I must point out that
1. You seem to read Esmeraldas posts frequently to know what she posts about, and are posting during normal working hours.
and
2. You seemed to quote her but yet leaving out important points. Such as when she posted that she finishes her jobs effeciently and her boss had run out of things to give to her.

Maybe if you read more clearly it wouldnt be an issue for you.

JMHO

Maybe if you read mine more clearly you would have noticed that I am NOT working today.

LOL! Nice try Cleo, but I'm lactose intolerant! :)

So far, no new milk shenanigans to report.

Although today one of my friends made a comment about how she was going to go drink a gallon of milk and she got some very odd looks.

Then someone else asked if it was okay to mark up a report in green pen???

Hmmmm....

I think the milk bandit may be lying low today...

I have a feeling it's only a matter of time though...

I think someone needs this...

Col. Mustard in the break room with the milk jug!

hessman, clearly you find Esmerelda's posts offensive to your own work sensibilities and ethics. That said, why do you bother reading them? Why cause so much deep felt heartache and intense pain at her trials and tribulations? It's so incredibly sweet of you to offer your incredible skills as job coach but clearly she, like all of us, are doing quite well.

Thank you so much for your wonderful suggestions and insight. Your words of wisdom are gems to live by and I for one, cherish each and every one of them. We should all emulate you and perhaps, dare I say it, build a shrine in effigy.

I bow before your greatness.

So EsmeraldaX, wha' happened!???? Tell us lady!

Hessman, I do apologize...thank you for again just picking 1 portion of a post.

What's Monty Dog think about this crisis?

Now that is just nasty. I am not the self appointed work police, I am amazed that someones work allows them so much time to post on a BB rather than work. But as I said, her job seems to not only allow it, but encourage it. I just thought that most placed were like mine, with a rule about no non business internet time. Sorry that I work at such a strict place, guess I better find a new, more laid back job.

You don't have to apologize about your place of work, but please recognize that everyone's job/workplace is different. For example, how you can you compare a high-presure job to one that is quite the opposite? The expectations are different and perhaps the benefits and rewards. When I was younger, I worked in a family-owned sporting goods store, where we had lots of slow periods and would pass the time playing air hockey or table tennis. That was more than offset by busy seasons like Christmastime. How people can judge what someone else is doing on their company time is beyond me.

It could have been a mouse. 'Cause if you give a mouse a cookie...he's gonna ask for a glass of milk...

Yippee for you.

And to quote a wiser man then me, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." How would you know your company blocks the DIS unless you tried to log on during working hours?

Uh, maybe there are written company policies?
