Totally immature behavior at work!

<font color=navy>We had that type of situation here at work, but in a different dept. years ago... at holiday time we'd get a 2 pound box of Sees chocolates from one of the contractors... one of the 'gals' took a bite out of each chocolate and left them in the box.

She was 'different' :sad2:

hmmmmmm....greek ink....a disgruntled olympic athlete????
I hear they have been breaking in to various office buildings lately stealing milk. Be on the lookout!

I know a way you could catch them. I did this once at another place I worked at:

Buy a carton of milk. DO NOT open the carton. Let it sit out at room temperature for about a week or till it doesn't sound sloshy anymore.

Take it to work and put in fridge. Wait to see reaction of criminal!

Maybe put a picture of the missing milk carton.....on a milk carton

We had a bandit recently that was stealing lunches. Homemade lunches like sandwiches. YUCK! An email from HR seems to have curtailed it.

Anxiously awaiting the outcome of this one though...

ROFL

I LOVE the way you think!:teeth:

So let me get this straight, the administrator said that whoever taped "I stole your milk" will be fired?

What if that person wasn't the person who actually stole the milk. I wouldn't steal anyone's milk, but I think posting "I stole your milk" is kind of funny and as long as it is not a constant thing, see no problem with it. In fact, I would think that the person who posted that note is probably not the person who actually stole the milk, just someone trying to get a laugh.

The termination thing is way over the top, over milk.

an old co-worker of mine that had her soy milk stolen repeatedly sent an email out asking who stole her "breast milk"

ROFL!!! Gross!

I used to bring milk when I was pregnant. I wrote on the carton "Polly's Baby's Milk." Well, he was still in my stomach but it still sounded gross so no one drank it.

I think every office has to have one of those fridge thieves. I don't know why but it always happens.

There was a fridge thief in my mom's office that was opening lunches, taking ONE bite out of each sandwich, and putting it back! :crazy2:

I work in a police lab (I'm a civilian), so no one dares to steal lunches around here- our fingerprints are all on record :teeth:

We used to have the same problem at my old job and some people got very creative (read:gross) about getting back at the thieves. It was bad enough when people were stealing the fridge food but others would steal right from people's desks. I had a friend who went to get some petty cash for a co-worker and while he was gone she took several bites of the sandwich he had on his desk. When he got back, he thought it was his friend (who had been offered half of the sammie) and he started saying "why didn't you just take it when I offered it to you?" When she didn't know what he was talking about we realized who had been eating it. Can you imagine doing that?

I'm with EsmeraldaX - I'd be grossed out by someone else's food and, of course it is stealing so I wouldn't do it. But some people will eat anything...at another job we were moving out some desks in Nov. that had last been used by the summer interns (Aug.) There was an old egg salad sandwich in the drawer that was moldy and pretty petrified - and this guy we worked with actually ate it! He was pretty "different", like Mary Jo's coworker - maybe even more different after eating that toxic waste!::yes::

I have an interesting theory. At my DH's job they use different color ink to tell the orders apart. DH's color is GREEN. He LOVES milk.....and although not in Boston (I think that's where you work) he is working in Norwood.....maybe he went OUT to lunch??????

I agree. I'd be shocked if they were the same person.

I've got interesting things in containers in my office. Would you like to borrow some to set him up?

OMG- some guy that I used to work with would eat everyone elses food. I solved the problem for myself by bringing in tofu salad, veggie burgers and left over sushi. He never ate my stuff. Guess he's not into health food, lol!::yes::

 We had a thief here ~6 months ago. He/she was stealing someones frappachino's....so I had to type a nice sign stating that we're all adults and should respect others property...so no stealing of food/drinks. I think all the attention from the note scared the thief off.

We've had a sign like that up for about a year. It does no good here.
