Totally disgusted with the Dining Reservation Dept

Called today to cancel an existing reservation. Found out that 3 of the restaurants that I had reserved only had us down for 4 people. We are a group of 8. The other 3 are for 8. I was never told that the ressies were for only 4 people. Now I have to try and book 4 more people around the same time frame. There arent 4 more openings at any of these restaurants. The restaurants are Le Cellieur, Crystal Palace, and 50s Prime Time Cafe. I made these on the 180th day. If I cant get the other ones added, I will cancel my dining plan. I am very disappointed with this.

Did you book online or call? If you booked online you should have your confirmation email showing 8, right?

I called and booked them, I would have never made the reservations for just 4 people when there are 8 of us. This is so annoying.

I feel for you. I had a horrible experience with the reservation place recently. It cost me around $20 in long distance changes because Disney doesn't have a toll free #. I make all of my reservations for dining online becasue I do not trust them enough to not screw up. Sad, but true.

I feel your frustration. I make all of my ressies online so I can have control of them and I like the email confirmation. However, I was booking the tea for my DD and myself at the Grand Floridian so I had to call. After being on hold for 20 minutes I get the exact time I want, 2:30....very excited, giving her all my info then the call gets dropped. Call right back explain the issue and they can't find the ressie anywhere. I then get a 3:50 ressie which is too close to dinner. Apologies abound...I literally called right back and was not on hold. Crazy!!!

I have a "lost" 1900 Park Fare ressie. I have my email with conf# but when I try to pull it up in Disney's system it shows no such ressie. There are no current ressies available at the time I had booked at 180 days out. I haven't called yet, but I did make a plan B. I am very skeptical about showing up with our origianl ressie and conf# and then being turned away without other plans.:confused3. It is very frustrating......

Sorry for all the frustration you guys are going through too. I thought it was just me that this happened to. I am so disappointed right now. I did go online today and was able to book 50's, but for a earlier ressie. But I dont think Im going to get Crystal Palace or Le Cellieur. The lady told me that there is always a good chance that a few weeks before something may become available. I would really like to know more than a few weeks before. So I will just keep trying. :confused3

I did all of our ADRs online at 180 days. Since then I've made numerous changes and upgraded from the DDP to the DxDP. I had a lunch ADR at The Plaza Restaurant and a dinner ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern on the same day. I printed out all my e-mail confirmations and put them in my binder.

A couple of days ago I was online checking our ADRs and noticed the Plaza ADR wasn't there. When I got home I checked my binder and, sure enough, there was the e-mail confirmation for that ADR but it wasn't showing online. I immediately checked for another lunch ADR for around the same time and was able to get one 20 minutes earlier than the first ADR. I then called WDW Dining and explained to the CM that I was missing an ADR. I gave her the first confirmation number, which she found. Only problem was the system was showing the date/time I made the ADR and then it shows that I cancelled the same ADR that I'd just made 5 minutes later. Uhhh...no...I'm pretty sure I DIDN'T cancel it just after making it. There is no canceled ADR e-mail confirmation in my file for WDW.

I'm glad I saw it now and not later. Even with the e-mail confirmation I probably would have been told that it had been canceled and we may have ended up eating CS for lunch. I have read where others have had the same thing happen...booked an ADR online and then later find it's no longer showing up. Obviously a glitch in the system. I'm just going to keep a closer eye on my ADRs until our trip.

Now if my Le Cellier lunch ADR goes missing heads are gonna roll!
