Totally Bummed -- No AP Discount for Me!

I am so bummed! After watching & waiting for weeks and weeks and weeks, I was not home on the computer the day the AP rates actually came out! And I have a TA who has been great on everything, but I got the feeling that she didn't know about them as early as they were posted here!

So, after some panicked calls to my TA and to Disney, there is no AP discount availability at WL for Oct. 5-8. This is my first time as a passholder & I was really hoping for a discount (even a little one!). I could have switched to AKL savannah view for $75 less than what I'm paying for WL woods view. AKL is a beautiful resort, and I'm sure we'd love it. But I've already planned dining and trips to the MK around being at the WL. Dinner at WCC and Artist Point, the luau at the Poly, etc... Plus, I just think that my husband and kids will be absolutely floored by this resort. I ate at WCC when I was at Disney for a conference in January.

I guess I'll keep my rack rate. I didn't book anything that I couldn't afford without a discount. I'm hoping that there may be a cancellation at the WL from someone who decides to go to another resort to get a discount. I'll keep checking back, but in the meantime, I'm bummed.

I'm happy for those of you who got your discount. Maybe some pixie dust will come my way soon!

Well I feel you .

I've watched a Disney Visa , Ap and now general public rate go by .I've checked SW and flights are still cheap (Did get our DEc flight cheap today ).

We want to go for DD's B-day again this year end of OCT ( MNSSHP ) .All our points are used and DVC is booked mostly anyhow.So we just need a room for a few days .

So you ask what the problem is .

SCHOOL wont release their calender early, 2 more weeks until i can find a long weekend and no Testing . We are taking her out a couple of days for the DEC trip so I don't want to take her out anymore then I have to.

And to all that got some money off already thats great more we will see when get there.because we're coming no matter what.
