Dh went on a date :lovestruc I honestly don't know the last time we went out to dinner and a movie. I'm thinking the last movie we seen together with just the two of us was Titanic

But holy cow it cost us almost $80.00 for a dinner and movie!!!!!!

On a side note The Hunger Games was really good!

We did the same thing on Friday - although we were cheap and ate at Moes... And I agree the Hunger Games was AWESOME!!

I feel your pain. We at times need to add babysitter. We live 45 to 50 minutes from town = not a lot of dates with DH.

Don't feel too bad, I think the last one we saw together was Forrest Gump!

At the beginning of the school year, I take a vacation day and we go out to lunch without kids in tow. It's our once a year date. Not very extravagant, but it's the once a year we get to eat together out without the need to shovel it in quickly.

We also blew our budget... A local art studio has seasonal art classes, so we signed our two up for them (@ $175 each) and for 8 Saturday's we had a 3 hour period for a nice drawn out lunch or movie or something. I told dh it was the most expensive yet best babysitter ever! We ot to explore some of the restaurants in our area that we'd never go with the kids (higher end restaurants). It was :cloud9: heaven. Costly, but heaven.

Yes, but it is money well spent. Think of it as an investment in your marriage.

Personally, I don't think $80 is that bad. Around here you often can't do a nice dinner for under $80.

We were out shopping a couple of weeks ago and decided to have a little lunch 'date'. Stopped at the Outback and managed to spend $80 on our little lunch date. It was totally worth it though.:thumbsup2

we've been doing 'fun' stuff on odd days around here now...when the places run specials we can afford:thumbsup2 like Tuesday 5.00 movies, groupons for dinner, etc etc.:thumbsup2
It seems odd at first, but the savings are so worth it!:cool1:
