This past October, we had lunch there and also ordered the pork tenderloin dish on the menu. It was phenomenal!! We had the Cobb salad as well, which was "delish". We, however, made the mistake of ordering a piece of grapefruit cake to try as it seems to be one of those little cult foods of WDW. One bite and it immediately turned my stomach. It just wasn't to my liking at all. I know many enjoy it, so I won't diss it too much, but I left the derby shaped recipe card the waiter brought us for grapefruit cake on the table.

Also agree on the Brown Derby. Always have the Cobb salad as my entree. That and a very good martini. Civilized park touring at its best.

The same thing happened to me with the Dole Whip. Everyone here raved about them and I'd never had one. So, I tried it...not for me. So, there will be one less person in the Dole Whip line when all of the folks who like them want to have one!

Yep, totally! Different strokes for different folks. I happen to be a Dole Whip fanatic, others dig grapefruit cake. That's okay with me!! I also could never imagine myself locking lips on a turkey leg... yet another "WDW cult food".

I'm with you on the turkey leg thing...I simply don't get it, but I have to admit that the folks eating them always seem to be enjoying them.

I like a good smoked turkey leg.
But I think I'd rather eat it in private!

I dont like Dole Whips (too sweet), Turkey legs (taste like ham and messy) or Grapefruit Cake (it tastes like grapefruit....nuff said)

LOVE:love: the Brown Derby!!! :thumbsup2
It is a must every time we are there.
Grapefruit Cake was....ehhhh...no biggie...but then again I like grapefruit (Sorry Kevin...teehee!)
The Pork Tenderloin is my fave!

Now if we could just get a Celebration Town Tavern in Epcot......:teeth:

Maybe in the American Pavilion..:scratchin

As for the turkey leg........1,100 calories

But if it is 1.5lbs, then this works out to 1,650...

But you can always subtract the bone.......

want to try it every year but we only allocate one 2 table service restaurant per trip for our dining plan and i cant get my daughter to give up the HDDR:)
