In Summary:
(Instead of using the approximate numbers I figured above, I'm putting the numbers - except for SSR - from Shamus here since they are more precise, and from a DVC source)

OKW 7,674,930 DVC Points
BWV 4,888,849 DVC Points
BCV 3,027,092 DVC Points

OKW 531 Vacation Homes
BWV 383 Vacation Homes
BCV 208 Vacation Homes
VWL 136 Vacation Homes
SSR 307 Vacation Homes

I haven't looked at the HHI, or VBR data yet. Shamus has the figures for those 2 resorts below.

Thanks. Do you have the total number of members by resort? It is listed on page 38 of the 8/2002 Multi-site POS.

I wonder if anyone has the most recent POS from SSR and would care to share the information?

Here is a list I posted a few months ago. Hopefully we will be able to get SSR added in the near future.

TOTAL POINTS
BCV - 3,027,092
BWV - 4,888,849
VWL - 1,961,981
HHI - 1,370,499
VB - 5,699,554
OKW - 7,674,930

TOTAL = 24,622,905

Jim, the latest Multi-Site POS I have is from July 2003. I'll probably try to contact my guide at some point to see if she can mail out a newer one to me. Anyway, here are the numbers you asked for:

OKW 27,234 Club Members
BWV 19,423 Club Members
BCV 8,772 Club Members
VWL 7,735 Club Members
VBR 4,863 Club Members
HHI 5,012 Club Members
SSR Data Unknown

Total 73,039 Club Members as of June 15, 2003.

Shamus, thanks for posting your numbers. May I ask if those are official numbers from DVC, and when you got the data?

The numbers I posted are from an internal DVC report which a DVC CM printed out and gave me a copy. The report is about two years old now.

Thanks for the explanation, Shamus. It looks like even though the report is 2 years old (must've been after the BWV plan to sell new points in Spring 2003), that those numbers are likely to still be correct.

I guess we'll be waiting quite a few years before getting a true count of how big SSR will be in terms of # of DVC points.

I'm surprised Vero has more points available than BWV. How many rooms are there?

Just curious. Is that the number of members or memberships sold? For example, my wife and I own one membership so does that count us as 1 membership or 2 members?
Does this also include duplicate members, that is, those that have multiple contracts?

Holy COW!!! This is the business guy inside me. Get this...

4,881,500 Points / 307 Vacation Homes = 15,900 points/home

Figure an average $90 a point sale price = over $1.4 MILLION PER ROOM!!!

I'd love to know the total construction cost of a resort broken down on a "per vacation home" cost. My guestimate would be about $300-350k.

Not a bad racket to be in!

Can anyone confirm the Vero points? It was posted that Vero has 5,699,544 points vs 4,888,849 points at BWV. It was also posted that Vero has 4,853 members vs 19,423 at BWV. I think the total # of points at Vero is incorrect. Otherwise, the average member at Vero would have 1,174 points vs 252 at BWV.

Disneyberry, Thanks. It will be interesting to see how it has grown since then as I heard someone mention that we are closing in on 100,000 members.

On the total number of points. Can we take the information Troy is collecting on another thread and use that to calculate number of points. If we know the total budget and the budget per point we can solve to points (with some margin of error for rounding.

I got this for the resorts listed in Troy's thread:

OKW 7,674,905
BWV 4,888,867
VWL 1,990,771
BCV 3,027,126
SSR 4,881,459 (what I suspect has been declared into inventory)

VB and HH have not been reported yet.

One thing that bugs me and I can not seem to reconcile are the total number of units detailed by type for each resort as specified in the POS to the number of vacation homes stated in the budgets. Some resorts match and others do not.

Using Docs reply for HH on Troy's thread the total HH points would be:

1,368,956

At the OKW annual meeting last week, Jim Lewis said DVC had 85,000+ member households.
