Hello,
We are going to Disney for the first time the last week of April for 7 days. We only want to visit a water park one day or maybe not at all.
The dreamsunlimited counselor advised our best ticket purchase would be the 7 day Magic your way with hopper and expiration (it's not likely we'll visit again very soon). Then she said to purchase tickets at the gate if we did decide to visit a water park such as Blizzard Beach. Do you all agree? I couldn't figure out the strategies that previous posters in the ticket strategies thread... :earsboy: :confused3 :confused3

This is what we're doing, so yes, I agree! 7 day with hopper, with expiration, no plusses. Then if we do go to a water park, we'll buy a one day entry to that water park. It's cheaper than adding plusses to your 7 day hopper if you're not planning to do any of the other plus options, which we're not. Then, if the weather's cool or rainy, just skip the water park and you haven't lost anything!

That is exactly what my DH & I do on all of our trips to WDW. We are not big fans of water parks, so that would be a waste of $$ for us. I love the hopper option because you can do AK in the morning and then go to MGM or MK at night to catch the shows. :bounce: Enjoy your planning. You are really gonna love WDW!! There is nothing like it. ::MickeyMo

I think you were advised correctly if you are only going to the water parks for one day. If you decide, once you get there, that you are also going to take advantage of both water parks, and Disney Quest or PI looks like something you would like to do, you may always add the Magic Plus option on at Guest Relations at any of the parks or Downtown Disney.

Please visit www.mousesavers.com for a breakdown of tickets.
If you purchase the "plus" option the plusses you have left will ALSO be non-expiring if you purchase the no-expiration, the plus option also gives you the ability to visit Disney Quest, I think with 7 days you get 5 "plus" days.
THe cost of the Plus is $47.93 (includes tax)
The cost of the NO-exp-$55 (thats a lot if you think you will use all your days and forfeit the benefit)

A premium (combines Hopper AND Plus option) is $85.20 (incld tax)

The flat rate of a 7 day ticket is $211.94 for adult
