Total newbie - What is an "atom"?

I guess, i am trying to get my first car?? (Blue?) Do i need a car? What does a car do for me?? ( I am so sorry for the newbie questions.. but i am so confused!! )
I read how to get the blue (easy) car, but have no idea what "following an atom" means?!

in the quests, sometimes you have to find "hidden" objects. The objects can be a skull, a shamrock, a jewel, a gold coin, or an "atom" =- they are just little drawings of atoms. You walk on top of the item to "find" it - when you find it, it will disappear. When you find them all, or the number they have you look for, you will get a message saying you completed the task.

oh.........ok. and they are always there, hiding right? If part of the quest is to find something, it is always there for the finding right? Not just at certian times or something..

Hi, and welcome!

The blue car is actually a magic pin that gives your character a temporary car to ride in. It's not necessary for anything in itself, but anyone trying to earn the Space Magic pin needs to earn this as well as the Diver pin first, since each quest requires the use of magic from the quest prior to it. (The order of the quests is Ships and Shipwrecks, Autopia Road Trip, then Adventure Through Inner Space.)

The Space Magic pin is needed to access the Inner Space shop in Tomorrowland; the pin must be activated so that the space suit is "worn" before entering the shop.

An atom is one of the objects that players might be asked to find during a quest; it is sort of transparent, so you have to look carefully. To collect this or any other "placed" object, walk over to it, or stand right next to any player who happens to be on it and isn't moving.

Just in case you haven't completely figured it out yet, I'll go ahead and explain it.

The car magic, along with simply just being fun to use, can allow you to enter the driving areas in Tomorrowland. You are somtimes required to collect trophies in these driving areas for quests, so it's always good to have at least one handy. To use it, go to any Autopia room, start up your magic and go through the gate. Just make sure to collect gas, though, since without it you'll be forced to leave the driving area.

As for atoms, they're an object that you collect for various quests. In order to collect it, just walk on top of it.

VMK is on PST so if its 2pm for me I think it will be 5pm for you. Which is probably about the time you are closing up shop and heading home. Neat career by the way. What is your vmk name? Mine is antjewel on vmk.

yup, a.m. is good for me, i open at 10am my time, and it's pretty slow this time of year here.. (as you can tell!! LOL) I have my laptop hooked up to the cable here, and just leave it on all day..
