Total NEWBIE HERE with questions???

I have been to WDW several times but never DL! Hubby and I are going to WDW for our anniversary August/Sept. And I was going to take the kids and go again for Christmas. But their FAVORITE water park will be closed until 1/3. Actually, they like this water park then every other park! We will probably use all 6 water park options just for this!

Anyway, I wanted to go at Christmas to see all the decorations but they just dont want to go, they want to wait until January (although they think we are looking at 2009!!).

So, I decided to try DL by myself (POSSIBLY with my 8 y/o) daughter because I have a friend in CA (not far from DL) who we have been online friends for 11 years and NEVER met! And she is having baby #4 in Sept. So I would love to see her and then also get a dose of Disney Christmas magic!

So, is DL nice at Christmas? I know its a completely different park than WDW.

Anything I should know? Hotels?

DLR is fabulous at Christmas time. Decorated to the nines, special parade and fireworks, and the two things WDW lacks....the MH and IASW holiday overlays. Of course it can be a nightmare rowd wise....try weekdays early in the month if possible.

Thank you for the info! Never thought about going to DL but it combines my wish to see Disney at Christmas... and a wish to FINALLY meet up with my friend

Hi there!

If you put in the words "December", or "Christmas" in the search engine on this site, you will find MANY posts about Christmas time @ Disneyland. We have covered this topic well.
