How bad is the main drop on TOT. is it that much worse than splash mountain because to me splash isnt bad but i was jw becuase ive never been on TOT.

Splash is just gravity, on TOT they actually throw you down, so it a slight different feeling.

You are really "thrown" down, you are raised up pretty high, and then "dropped".

With the new ride squences, TOT is not just one big drop -- you are dropped down and sent back up about 5-7 times.
My DD5 went on it with DW and I our last trip in Sept and she was very nervous/scared.

When the ride was done she asked if she could go on it again. Guess it depends on the child....

Absolutely. When it drops it actually pulls you down *faster* than gravity. Freaky feeling experience, but very fun. Lots of theme parks aruond the country have the "detonator" type rides, this is mechanically similar (though the setup and theming is far bettter).

ToT is much more intense than Splash Mountain. I was nervous about the drop in Splash Mountain, but when it was over, I was thinking, "That was it?"

After I got off ToT, my legs were shaking like Jello for 5 minutes. It's a great ride, but very intense.

It might be like comparing apples to oranges. TOT is waaaaaaay more intense. I LOVE IT!!

The bottom line is at TOT when people get off they are usually laughing and looking to get on line again.

I remember the first time I was going to go. The thought of what might happen, and the anticipation, had me a little nervous.:crazy2:

Yes, it is more intense than Splash Mountain, but you will really love it. You may want the younger kids to go over to Bear In The Big Blue House. But again, you'll want to do it again & again. Happy terror! :scared1: :scared1:

To me, TOT "drops" are like driving on a hilly road and when you go over some of the "hills", your stomach kinda does a flip flop...only more intense. My DH and I love it and go on it as many times as we can before it gets really, really crowded.

If you've never been and you're not afraid of that flip flop feeling, you should try it at least once. We haven't been on it since they did the rehab in October so I don't know how many drops are on it now but there were at least five before. It's definitaly a "try at least once" ride.
