Can someone explain to me how this works? I would love for DW to see the inside of TOT but there is NO WAY she will ride it.

You go all the way up as if you're going to ride TOT but let the attendant know you've changed your mind. They will take you in an elevator that leads to the area where the ride lets out. It took a little convincing for my DD to get on the elevator and I had to go with her to show her it wasn't the actual ride. It was sort of funny.

Basically, you enter with everyone else and get the whole pre-show speil. At about the point where the cars are entered -- or somewhere just before that ... I forget -- they ask if anyone wants to leave, and then there's a way out. You simply exit instead of getting on the elevator.

that is too funny .... the samething happened with me & my daughter. She was about 9 at the time and I had to basically drag her into the elevator...she was crying, even the CM had to help me. She is 11 and has gone on it once & will not do it again...now she just waits for us where you exit & view the picture...there is usually a CM there so she isn't alone...

I have been meaning to start a thread on this subject but kept forgeting. I also want to know how much do you see before the chicken exit? Is it worth standing in line for?

I think this is so funny! The chicken exit as you call it, is on the same platform where you load to get into the seats of the ride. It is an elevator that is located between two of the ride cars.

A lady in the group in front of us decided not to ride and we all cracked up that the only way out at that point was a elevator! I would be so freaked to get into it! I will take my chances sitting down on the ride rather than standing in a real elevator that could break down! ::yes:: :earseek:

I never heard of the chicken exit before? What is it like? But I love tower of tower! It is one of my favorite rides ever! I don't remember there ever being a chicken exit. I think I do, but then again I don't. :yo-yo:

It's absolutely worth waiting in line, imho. DH loves Tower and I've done it twice, but the falling thing is not for me. I always go through the line and lobby, preshows, etc with him. When you get to the point where they ask "how many?" he says "one" and I say "one for the express, please." They always know what I mean and it makes it a little more discreet, if you care about that sort of thing.

Normally I don't, but that line came in handy when we took our nephews for the first time. We didn't want to freak them out, so I acted as if I were riding the whole time, then asked for the express when we got up to load. They questioned it for a minute, then DH told them I was going on a super-intense version of the ride for experts... an elevator with no seatbelts or anything! They bought it and asked me about my "expert ride" the whole rest of the trip, but neither would volunteer to do it with me the next time we went to Tower!
