TOT and Star Tours Question

Actually this is a question from my Ds11. My son asked me today what keeps people from unbuckling themselves on these rides. I had no idea the reply. I have ridden these rides hundreds of times and I was always concerned of it unbuckling never in a million years would attempt that myself.

The seat belts on most all of the rides cannot be undone until the ride is at the station.

The seat belts lock once buckled. You can't even unbuckle it yourself if you change your mind before the ride starts. When the ride ends, they unlock.

there is a safety lock on them so that guests cannot unbuckle them until the safety lock is released which is controlled by the CM's.

at the end of the ride you can tell that everyone is trying to unbuckle but cannot cuz when the safety lock is released everyone's seat belt makes the unbuckling sound at the same time lo..
you will especially notice it on soarin since there are so many people.

there's been a number of times on TOT when someone has put their purse strap through the seat belt and when the CM's see it they have to release the safety lock cuz you're not allowed to do that with your bags.

disney has some of the safest restraints and are unlike other theme parks where you could unbuckle yourself on your own.
