ToT 6.5K Full!!!(8/10)

As Dave said "Ok lets talk reason here. You live once and only once. So let's go out and live. Every day should be preparing for the next adventure"

Too true! The reasons to live by. ::yes::

Robert! :lmao:

Say hi to your ladies for me. I can't wait to see Erica again in WDW and to meet Robert and his DW. 91 days till we fly!!!!

Hey what about me!!!!!!:lmao: Hi Diane, I look forward to meeting you as well I hope you can do MNSSHP with us all.

Dave.....I love that saying!!!!

Ahh Kim  it's going to be great in October! In January I know Susan and I are stressed beyond belief until the race so it will be soooo nice to kick back and enjoy a race weekend that isn't freaking us out. To be able to be relaxed about being in the parks the night before, being able to meet up with the team. It's going to be GrrrrrrATE!

i can't wait for October to enjoy the entire weekend.

I can't wait until the afternoon of January 13th AFTER I've finished and can finally relax. Half of that trip will be stress filled over the unknown. The great thing about October, it's going to be a SHORT RUN LMBO

Are we there yet?

Diane: It will be a moving party during the race! Hope you will join us for mini golf and late lunch/early dinner!

I agree this will be a lot less stressful than the Goofy in Jan!

Robert and Pretty WISH Princesses, Yes it's going to be a moving party. At least for the walking athletes. An adventure to tell the grandkids about.

I can see it now, the event directors sit down to recap the Tower of Terror race. One is sitting in a corner drooling, he keeps whispering "WISH", and occasionally he will scream. The poor Boogie couldn't make it, he is in traction, where the Pretty Princesses kicked his butt. The rest are trying to come up with a game plan for rounding up all the TNT Honnies that ran for their lives, when Judy came running through their formation screaming "BEAR". The poor little purple clad sweeties are scattered all the way to Tampa by now.

I agree team......I can't wait to get there....seems like tickers aren't even moving.

Yep, that sounds right. We will finalize the Saturday events while we are at dinner Friday at the LTT, then the MNSSHP after dinner will be great. Thursday dinner at ESPN sounds right. We are ariving on Wed, the 24th so we were going to meet for dinner then also, we will let Robert and Linda pick where to go. I think they are planning on the Brewery over on the boardwalk. A tall cold beer after a 650 mile drive in the stang conv will be refreshing.

Dave:hippie:

Weds 24th Brewery
Thurs 25th ESPN
Fri LTT(than MNSSHP)
Sat Mini Golf than Lunch/Dinner @ BW(Brewery?)

That's how the agenda looks to me.

Dave: Story way to :rotfl2:

No that wouldn't be funny at all. By the time the January marathon came around the TNT Commandos would be regrouped and there would be thousands of them with sticks, pitchforks and nooses looking for anyone wearing florecent lime green. The carnage would be a definate blow to Disney's reputation.

I have figured out a plan. We send them a letter, we can get PatsfanBill to compose it, telling them that the race location has been moved to North Dakota. Then we will eat their stock pile of gummy bears that they have stashed along the course.pirate:

Yes the Agenda looks proper.

"Yea, I know, I ain't even close to right".

Slinking off now...

It will probably help clean the bugs out of your teeth too.:drinking1

Still working on the knots, but I think I may mail in the registration for the 6.5K (so I can get the DVC discount) and risk losing the $$ if it doesn't work out. I've thought about the 13k, but given my on again/off again ability to train so far and where I am currently at, I don't want to push things too much. The distance also seems to work with what looks to be the half marathon training schedule I think I'll be using for the Donald. WWDave and many of you others will still probably beat me to the finish anyway. If not, I'll have to decide between waiting and cheering or getting in extra rides on the ToT and RnRC (if their open). Hmmmmmmmm. Of course, if WWDave is carrying the brew with him, I may just follow the 13K people anyway and push my pace.

I can't currently access the WDW website. Can anyone tell me when package pick-up is and if they let others pick up for you if necessary (like hopefully one of my very close, bestest cyber-friends from WISH or YARC). (Okay, I'll come clean, you guys and gals are my only cyber-friends. I am not a boards kind of guy in general and usually stick to relationships with tangible people I have actually met.) If I can swing this, I'll be solo and it may be a fly in Saturday afternoon and fly out Sunday trip for me. Kind of how my work travel usually is. If it does work out though, I will try to meet Friday night if possible.

Thanks.

They have packet pickup on Friday and Sat. No times listed yet.

Packet pick-up is Friday at WWoS and Saturday at a as-yet-to-be-determined location.

Patsbill: It would be great if you could join us. I might be the last one to cross the 13K finish line but I am ok with it. DH is walking with me, when he realized it was at night he didn't want me off on my own so he said he will walk, hope we can take lots of photos and just have alot of fun so if you decide to do the 13K you will have lots of company. I dont' know if they will let someone else pick up your pack but if they do I have no problem picking it up for ya...

Dave: I have a confession.....my treat during my Minnie walk was jelly bellys from DTD.....I don't like any of the gels, gatorade etc so I bought a bag of cherry jelly bellys and put them in my water belt pouch and when I felt a little drained I would toss a few in my mouth....I am sure I shouldn't but hey they worked for me....lol

I really should get some work done but just not really in the mood so I might just hang out here and surf till 4:30......ughh 2 more hours to go.

Kim

I can remote into a user in another town and work on her computer while I multi task surfing and forum reading:)

4 1/2 more hrs for me:(

I just signed my dad up for the 13K this morning. I'm sure he and my mom would love some company walking! This will be my dad's first event EVER. He started walking recently when my mom started her training for the Donald. I guess he figured that if he was coming on the vacation with us, and he was walking more and more, why not join the party and the race rather than wait for us at the finish line?

Kim - Have you tried the Sport Beans (made by Jelly Belly) at all? They don't taste too bad, and then you get the electrolytes as well. Otherwise I definitely recommend Sharkies. They are billed as organic fruit chews and basically taste like gummy bears but less sweet. They have electrolytes as well, but it comes from natural sources and you don't get the salty taste at all. They are shaped like small little sharks - easy to chew. You can find them at MEC and most of the running stores (except I don't think I've seen them at the Running Room).

I am in PST. We get off at 4:00 on Fridays:)

From the Wild, Wild, West. Actually my home town had/has the famous Ponderosa Ranch here!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Wait a second. Hold the phone! They have STASHED gummy bears on the course? What else have they stashed? Snickers bars? Sport beans? Bananas? Do tell? Let me get some paper and we'll start making a list of where we've seen them leave the course, we can leave the MNSSHP at midnight and head out and scope the areas out so we are familiar with their hiding places for January.

This is definitely a job for me. Susan and I are always tempted to move the water bottles at the park :lmao: What can I say? We sometimes get a bit bored after 10 miles :rolleyes1

Robert, I wish we got off at 4:00....my bosses won't even let us leave early if there is a snow storm:confused: But then again I don't start till 9AM so it is a pretty short day.

Snickers???? Where are the snickers??????

Kim
