Tortola's the Baths and footwear recommendations: wide feet

Hello-

We will be visiting this scenic site in the early summer. I admit it. I have extra wide plump feet and am looking for a pair of water shoes. I usually wear Birkenstocks...not the best for this excursion, I hear. For those in the same boat, what did you wear and where did you find them? I plan on trying to keep up with my kids, so will in and out of the water as well as walking down to the beach and back up to the road.

Appreciate any advice.

I'm not a tender foot. I also have large wide feet. In September when we did the Baths I pulled my flip flops off and went barefoot.

I'm planning to order some Chaco's sandals before we go on our next pai of b2b cruises in May. I just want them. I don't know if I'll wear them in the water or not. Likely not.
